Happy murderbot day !!! Listening to platform decay as we speak

I don't really love it when in fanfic art calling mb murderbot is a sign of intimacy. Like it shows their relationship is stable and progressed far enough that art has been entrusted with the delicate blessing of using this private part of itself. Because it sucks like it absolutely sucks, its name is so fucking mean, it's given itself a name one step short of a slur, like it made up a slur for people like it and then decided to use that as a name. It named itself murderbot because it hates itself and every time it says its name it's reminding itself what it feels like it really is and will never not be. It named itself after the worst thing it's ever done. I just don't think art would WANT to call it that. I feel like the idea of like in an intimate moment art calling it murderbot would be like. Deeply upsetting. Like reminding it yes I also concur this is what you are. It's just not a nice name. I feel more like mb would give art permission to use it, art would be like ahhh um okay thank you that's an honour. And then just not use it and mb would finally get mad after awhile like HEY I said you could use my name why aren't you using my name and art has to be like hhhhhhhhhh and then they get into a massive fucking fight about it

So it’s not quite snowing on Churyumov–Gerasimenko, unfortunately; the white specks are artifacts of cosmic rays impinging on the CCDs in the camera, as well as a rotating starfield in the background (since the comet is spinning). A few specks could be dust. But, holy shit, that’s the surface of a comet. That’s a spot you could in theory cling to for dear life sit down on. The Cliffs of Comet 76p are a place.
