Women are such gifts
what THE FUCK. genuinely don't know who to eat out first guys help
shabana azeez, sepideh moafi, supriya ganesh and taylor dearden talking about how discrimination like misogyny, racism and ableism shows up in the show, in robby, and the way it plays into how people perceive their characters
credit
Love the implication that Supriya used to go around yelling at assholes. We should all be a bit more like Supriya.
They love each other so much, I feel so ill that they're not going to be working together (at least for now-supriya × isa romcom cmonnnnn).
really appreciate that, despite what it might imply, or even the risks it could bring them, and has already brought them, honestly, the women in the cast aren’t afraid to be very clear about what the show ultimately depicts in terms of discrimination, and to question it in a way (especially given how none of this seems to have been considered in the slightest, if you look at the producers’ comments)
obviously they’re talking about robby and the writing, not directly about the producers or noah wyle, but the message is pretty unmistakable
and really nice of the wrap to have provided this platform for this topic !
He is my princess diana
I’m actually fucking dying
I’m sorry but what does that other anon mean that Supriya found out about her firing “well before” it was announced. Gemmill already admitted they did not write or film season 2 with the intent of Samira not returning, so right away we know it was a decision made in post production, so later than Jan. 2026. Then there was at least one interview where he seems to admit that the decision wasn’t really final until the writers room reconvened for season 3, which was late Feb/early March 2026 (this period is also likely when the cast was signing their season 3 contracts, since their contracts are only year to year.)
This would be supported by the fact that as recently as mid Feb 2026, Gemmill was publicly teasing the Mohan x Abbot dynamic as something the show may want to build on in the future. At that point, Gemmill had already publicly shit on the possibilities of K*ngdon and R*bbot, so since he’s perfectly willing to dismiss MUCH more popular ships, it would have been nonsensical to choose to pander to mohabbot in the press at that time if he already knew they were getting rid of Samira.
So all available evidence suggests that Supriya couldn’t have been informed sooner than early to mid March, because the production themselves hadn’t even made the final decision long before then. That’s at most a few weeks before Variety published the article on April 2. So about 2.5 months before she was due to be filming season 3. Lots of projects that shoot in the summer/early fall would have already finalized casting by then, leaving her limited alternative options. Nevermind that the options are already limited for South Asian actresses! Would anyone really claim that’s plenty of notice to book something else right away?
(And besides all of that, Gerran and Taylor haven’t worked during the hiatus that I’m aware of. I’m absolutely not criticizing that AT ALL, just interesting it’s never the white people who get labelled “lazy.”)
you'll notice they weren't willing to point to any specific timelines, the way you have done, because they're just bullshitting and they're annoyed about the sympathy Supriya Ganesh seems to be receiving. 🤷♀️
I'm sure their undue ire isn't simply a result of their inner biases!!!!

i need everyone who keeps saying 'noah doesn't control the casting choices, stop blaming him for the fact that supriya is leaving' to shut up for a second. he clearly does make those choices and feels very self assured that the choices he's making are normal and fine
Samira Mohan absolutely needs to specialize in geriatrics. Specifically THIS geriatric
