People who read Japanese, what are these and can I buy them?
A little tip for parents with children in school (or for children in school to show their parents)
My mom gave me and my sister two days every semester that she called “mental health days.”
Those were days, that for ANY reason, and without...
My kids knew they could do this, my only requirement was they had to keep their grades up and they could not do it to excess.
I totally only get zombie anxiety when I watch too much zombies. I have general anxiety and it sometimes manifests itself in weird ways. This is one of the many ways my anxiety likes to play.
Lisa was the same way. She couldn't watch too many movies (this was before walking dead). You're not alone, you're just hyper vigilant.

Frank and I had a 5:30 "good-bye" appointment with his vet today. I found out last week he had a very aggressive cancer in his belly/liver.
I took the opportunity to leave work early today and it's good that I did.
Frank was in acute distress when I came home. He left us at 3 today, under the excellent care of Dr Curry w/ The Pet Clinic, P.C. He's the last ferret I will be owned by. I miss them all.

Reblogging because this actually is a thing that should concern more people.
If bees go extinct we will ALL die. No question about it. We cannot live without them.
fav post save da beez
fun fact: bees are a “cornerstone” species, meaning if a cornerstone species goes extinct, it takes the entire ecosystem with it. If bees go extinct, a lot of flowering plants, fruits, and vegetables will go extinct with them, causing a massive food shortage worldwide that will kill millions.
So yeah, save the bees. They are harmless and help keep the planet alive and literally help grow food.
It’s art, and it’s a way to help save honeybee’s. We at Bee-Hive Studios give it a huge thumbs up. I personally can’t stand cilantro, so that will never grow in my gardens. However, I will happily plant many of the other plants this coming Spring.

My first ever Sunday Seven.
I purchased two of these for Shane and I. We've been tea snobs all day.
I soft boiled my breakfast eggs with my sou vide this morning. The yolks were like pudding and I'll be doing that again.
School resumes tomorrow and the 2 week vacation is over. My pocketbook will have a 5 week break in pay (ugh).
While setting up Shane's new DJ shelving, I found his old iPad. Today we decided it's going to be mounted in the kitchen as my new cookbook/kitchen timer/helper.
I get a strange joy from oiling wooden kitchen utensils/handles.
Last week I was enjoying 70 degree weather on the Gulf Coast and this week we're going to be lucky if we break single digits. Yuck.
This was harder then I though it would be.
Dogs lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you’re going to lose a dog, and there’s going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can’t support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion. There’s such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price. Maybe loving dogs is a way we do penance for all the other illusions we allow ourselves and the mistakes we make because of those illusions.
