Lewie is a 30-year-old workaholic man who moved to Inaba after a burnout accident back in 2012 while working on Tokyo PD, which put his health in risk. In search of a more peaceful life, yet not dropping his old habits, Lewie quickly became Dojima's assistant due to the lack of one since last year's Inaba incident.
Lewie and Dojima had a troublesome start in their relationship at work. Since the accident, Lewie acts distant from everyone and avoid sharing much about himself, which puts a barrier between them. Despite being a great assistant, Dojima misses having a partner who can be trusted.
It's only natural for Dojima's stubborn nature to persist on unraveling every knot in his new partner's heart and, as months pass by, Lewie slowly gets over his fear of being human and allows himself to feel emotions other than agony. The emotional & communication issues baggages between them are overcome one by one, resulting in a healthy partnership (and maybe... something more? Wink). But only after a long angst history.
