lucidity
i pretend so that i donβt have to realize the rain or even glance at the clouds at all
i think of who i used to be, the shell of a being, leeched by loneliness,
and i see how everything feeds on its oppositeβ light eating dark, dark eating light;
even sadness swallows happiness to make room for itself
i wonder where the past me is// i wonder where iβve shelved that version of myself in my mind,
or if i have simply released her, like a dream, into the ether

βEach time you breathe out, breathe out all of the things in you that keep you from knowing your true self; breathe out all the separateness, all the feelings of unworthiness, all the self pity, all the attachment to your pain. Breath out anger and doubt and greed and lust and confusion.β

βFinally I am coming to the conclusion that my highest ambition is to be what I already am. That I will never fulfill my obligation to surpass myself unless I first accept myself, and if I accept myself fully in the right way, I will already have surpassed myself.β
