one of the funnier incidents of me assuming someone knew a meme irl was when a new coworker was talking about some woman who got arrested for tax fraud and I went "God forbid women do anything" and he got scared and thought I was accusing him of being sexist, so he started apologizing and saying how tax fraud isn't even bad, actually.

Yeah well Remus also shuts down near the full moon. He lays in bed all day and doesn't speak a word and loses his appetite easily and he may start crying because he feels like a burden to his friends with how constant his mood changes and he doesn't think they deserve to have to deal with him.

remus is just so comforting, you guys don’t understand. him and the constant warmth from his sweaters (that all the marauders like to steal), his hands that are never cold, and his hair that's always soft and messy, like he just woke up. remus, who seems a little serious at first but has the softest and brightest smile. who likes trashy horror movies, classic literature, coffee with too much sugar, crunchy food, the sound of rain, and good naps. who likes the library table that gets a little bit of sunlight in the afternoon and pretends not to need glasses to read even though he's pretty blind. remus, who goes to the kitchens every sunday and the elves feed him freshly made chocolate cookies, and who always brings one back for each of the marauders. who has the type of laugh that makes you proud for making him laugh. remus, with his bed being the most organized in the dorm, while his bedside table is the most chaotic, full of cigs, so many books, forgotten quills, crumpled wrappers, and coffee mugs. but also where he has pictures of all his friends and family as a little reminder of why he keeps going no matter what. he’s comforting, alright.
