I saw the goal: 90 on your "june fitness journey" post & thought it was a weight goal and was very worried for a second, but that was just your # of stars goal.
Yes, number of stars! Weight is very deliberately not something I want to reward myself over. It’s not the thing that will make me feel stronger or have more energy. That’s what matters.
So, 90 is an average of three stickers a day. I try to get at least three a day with the idea that it requires at least one to be a physical activity goal. Meds are a must-have. Duolingo is an easy check. Physical activity is the tricky one. Some days are busier than others, or busy in different ways. The idea of the three physical activity goals is that I can hopefully do something every day. Either 250 steps an hour (a few minutes of walking) for 9+ hours, a long walk during a conference call, or a quick workout at the end of the day. I often do more, but I at least want to show up for my body somehow each day. After spending 2021 chained to my desk eating m&m’s, I at least owe it that much.
I like the concept of three positive things a day. Since Dec 2021 I’ve been on a fitness kick - numbers for blood sugar were bad so I hit it hard.
Dropped 30 pounds, feel super good, though I’m having a tough time losing more. Still little changes lead to those gains. Adding mental gains to my daily goal seems like a good idea.
