Fin Life
The animated GIFs are nice, but I wanted something with better quality. This is a new animation of the same mesh Mechanobot in video format and the animated GIF below it (just in case it doesn’t load). I’m still figuring all this animation stuff out on my own and with some YouTube help. I’ll get the chain to bend depending on his grip.

My third in a series of Homestuck renders. This one is a location in the webcomic called Land of Light and Rain, or LOLAR for short. All this work with multiple textures was made harder by the scale of this render. This is also my first experience with the Ocean modifier. All in all, I’m fairly happy with how it turned out. I wasn’t really able to go full realistic with the clouds, so I opted for a 3D cartoonish look. I’m still not satisfied with the brick texture. It’s seamless, but at certain distances the texture is visibly repetitive. No animations this time. It would have taken me a full week to render this with an animated ocean. Maybe next time :)
Another Homestuck render based on the comic’s character, Bec Noir. Here is one pose and 5 different views. Lots of work on hair and textures.
Another rendering and set of animations I created in Blender. This model is based off of the Warhammer of Zillyhoo from the popular webcomic, Homestuck.
First attempts at animation. Finally got around to rigging him properly and changed a few materials. More to come. Maybe a demo reel once I’ve done some more animations.
Mechanobot, a character I'm working on in Blender. The left is before rigging and metal materials. I decided to give him a weapon and pose him after rigging him with bones. I used the Metal Materials Pack for Cycles from blendswap.com temporarily, until I can add the textures I ultimately want.
Spent the afternoon at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum today with my wife for a photo session. She's a photographer. I took a lot of interesting photos and textures of trains for a project I'm working on. These are just taken with my phone. I may come back to take them with a better camera.
Looking to get into the 3D modeling world, I took on a test project to design a Chimera from a logo. In the first iteration, I made it without wings as per the logo. Revising it later on, I added some wings. I'm happy with the structure and how I was able to quickly put it together, but I know I still need to work on anatomy and retopology.
A little thing I did in Blender. Piggy bank render with about 2000 render samples. I'm about 3 months into Blender, so I don't have much in my portfolio yet. But I'm pretty proud at where I've gotten so far.
