Pam looked back at her calculations. “… maybe just a bit.”
Elektra looked at the board for a few more seconds, but it was in vain. The writing there was like a language that she wasn’t quite fluent in. “Consider me impressed.”
You did not escape New York to fall here.
bucky.
“Mhm.” Bucky took a sip of his drink, flexing his metal hand where it was still encased in his glove. Now that it was getting warmer out, people were beginning to notice that he was wearing a glove, but he didn’t always feel comfortable exposing his hand. “Hey, you could ask that kid who just came in to buy you a drink. If his fake ID passes, anyway.”
Elektra’s gaze followed his, pinpointing the kid he was talking about in the crowd. One sharply groomed eyebrow arched, her lips pressing together into a thoughtful line. “A little young. He’d probably have to use daddy’s money to buy it.” And she liked to think that she’d aged well, but she doubted she could carry an interesting conversation with a boy who’d been babbling his first words when she was old enough to be graduating secondary school.
gwen.
Gwen tilted her head, looking at the other woman curiously. She wasn’t sure what to think of this woman—something in her spidey-sense was tingling, and she knew that the woman was most likely dangerous, but no one would know that she was here. There was no way she was after Gwen, and even if she was—Gwen could take care of herself. That thought was enough to allow Gwen to place just a little bit of her trust, however warily, in this woman’s hands. She paused for a moment before nodding. “Right.”
Shaking her head, she sighed. “It’s really complicated.” She hadn’t thought to empty out her bank account when she was slingshot between universes—hell, she hadn’t even planned on coming to this universe. She hadn’t planned on leaving her own earth, but here she was, and she was wholly unprepared. Gwen was starting to kick herself for it—she hadn’t expected this, and now, she was shit out of luck, and she was starting to think that she should have been better about it. But it was too late for that now.
Elektra was good at complicated. Dying, and being resurrected by the Hand. Flitting between being an assassin and opening a dojo and being a dancer and then being an assassin again. Crashing the Black Hawk, and then working for SHIELD. And so many other things. Looking back on her life was like looking back on a long, bloody tangle of crossed wires — and she was the only person left standing at the end of it.
Her gaze lifted from the neat black polish on her fingernails to the girl beside her, a deep inhale raising her chest before she answered, "I doubt you could shock me."
felicia.
“ … gold STAR for me. ” she mumbled, red lips curling into a smile at her reaction. she d i d have enough money for tonight without going back out again tonight ; which was rare at these things. “ felicia hardy. no, i’ve seen you around but yes, the accent —– you still want a drink, ms. natchios ?? ”
A wry chuckle slipped past her stained lips, quicky followed by an "It's a pleasure, Ms. Hardy. I'm sorry to say that I haven't noticed you before." And honestly so, because the other woman's company was proving to be anything but dull. "Of course. A tequila and tonic."
Send me “Smash or Pass” + a name and my muse will answer with 100% honesty.

“It’s simply science, darling.”
“The kind of science you need a PhD to understand, I assume.”
harley.
@redshroud :
Harley had a tendency for doing this—finding just the right people, at just the right times. It seemed like just a moment ago she was sitting at the side of the street, ice cream in hand, frown on her lips and now she stood at Elektra’s side. Both with splashes of blood on their faces that didn’t belong to either of them. “Well, he had it commin’. It’s rude not to laugh at somebody’s joke y’know.”
The alleyway was empty but Harley knew better than to underestimate both of them, especially when together. Sadly the same couldn’t be said about the one on the floor—he’d learned things the hard way.
She had missed this. It felt like getting up to stretch after spending too long sitting down — like finally regaining the use of a limb that you weren’t aware you needed until after it was gone. Standing over the man’s body, with his blood on her face and her clothes, Elektra felt more at ease than she had in weeks. She reached up to pull the scarlet scarf from the lower half of her face, her mouth curved into a wolfish smile.
“I don’t think he was smart enough to understand it,” she answered, wiping the bloody length of her sai against a black-clad thigh. The man probably wasn’t smart enough to understand the joke because his skull had been bashed in sometime during the fight.

“There. You should have just believed me when I told you that I was smarter than you. Would have been less embarrassing, hm?”
“Clearly I should have. To be fair, I went to school for political science. Not..." Elektra's eyes skimmed over the blackboard "Whatever that is."
bucky.
Bucky shrugged. “Maybe it’s your interpretation that’s dark,” he said. “That doesn’t have anything to do with me.”
Elektra’s gaze broke away from him, a faint smile fighting at the corners of her lips. “Well, I can’t really argue that.”
bart.
BART KNEW IN THIS MOMENT THAT THIS was all a terrible idea, but he was stuck in this position now. “Excuse you, but why are we turning this back onto ME? I work here, and you’re in line of sight out of the window I sit by. You’ve been here for a few days, and I’m just wondering why you just lurk around and don’t just … come in?” Bart questioned, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion as he tried to figure out this woman. “It’s just creepy.”
“It’s a public bench. On a public street.” The kid had a point — sitting outside of your ex’s place of work for three days in a row was more than likely grounds for a restraining order. Although this was definitely more normal than her initial plan, which had been to simply break into Matthew’s apartment and wait for him to get home. Still, Elektra could feel her patience starting to wear thin.

alec.
Alec shook his head. “Nope, not blind. You’re right about the town though; everyone’s got something they don’t want to share with the world. I think that really goes for everyone though.” He shrugged.
Elektra's brows raised and she made an agreeable noise. Then, without saying anything more on the subject, she drained her glass. After a moment's pause, she glanced at him and asked, "Why come to a bar by yourself, if you can't drink?"
bucky.
Bucky shrugged his broad shoulders. “Not that mysterious,” he said. “I don’t want to buy you a drink, so I’m not gonna buy you a drink. That’s not that dark, either. Good financial sense, actually. I’m not wasting my money.”
"It's very good financial sense," she allowed. And after another sip of her drink, she turned to face him. "But I don't play games with strangers sounds a little dark."
flash.
With a nod, Flash scoffed. “When I’m not bringing a whole different meaning to ’scared shitless’ amongst Star City’s criminal underground.” He hesitated telling her for a moment, then realized that she already knew. Most of everything about Agent Venom, really. “So yes, I’m almost always at this gym. For a few weeks, its where I slept.” He explained. “You said you can find anyone?” Flash asked, curious as to how far her contacts really went.
Her hands slipped into the pockets of the light jacket draped over her frame, her mouth tightening just enough that shallow dimples pressed into either one of her cheeks. "That's almost sad, Flash." With a few yards of distance between them, Elektra turned and sat lightly on a bench press, propping an elbow up idly on the bar across the top. They'd worked together before, so she had to assume he had a pretty good idea of her skill set. "For the right price, yes. I can."
