Real thing that changed how i write: I started asking "what does this character think is wrong with them" and separately "what is actually wrong with them." Those two things are almost never the same. She thinks she's too much. She's actually terrified of being too little. He thinks he's bad at commitment. He's actually just never met someone he trusted enough. The gap between their diagnosis of themselves and the real thing, that's your character arc right there. you don't have to explain it. just write both.

Dumb dsmp worldbuilding idea. People giving snowgolems guns (preferably automatic so they can think about it less) as a means of defending their house.

Fuck I love “dumb” dsmp world building. Imagine the butcher army trying to go get Techno but first they have to defeat a hundred snow-golems with guns just to get to his house

bored as fuck im gonna start saying what i think about popular dsmp headcanons. i never liked the sewn together frankenstein c!wilbur hc i think it goes against the whole idea of his return, which is that he died and came back exactly the same. not a monster or a freak of nature but a suicidal self martyring man who willingly destroyed his legacy no matter how much it meant to everyone he cared about. i think he should look exactly how he did when he made his dad kill him in front of everyone. just as young and charismatic and charming because that's what made people look up to him. i think the horror of it all should be that he came back completely unchanged but despite that nobody can ever look at him the same again
