Also, this is a bit of a throw back but this is maybe the best picture I’ve taken of my dog. Ever.
So happy hump day, y’all.
You’re welcome.

More stills from the video! This was the stinkiest thing I have ever smelled in my entire life. Kudos to the panel for trying it!!

They say wine tastes better the longer it ages, but, is that always the case?
Oh my, what a busy year this has started off to be! Per the usual, I’m behind on blogging. Meh. BUT!!! Here’s one of the really cool things I got to do as part of the Wine + Food Festival this year! You’ll notice my stills in the video, and also that they spelled my last name wrong. Not famous quite yet, it seems!

Yay! Carolina Tails is finally out, so I can share a few of my favorites from this issue. To kick things off, I loved sharing in this shoot with Elizabeth Bradham, Charleston Animal Society President, and her sweet pup Alice. Let's be honest, dog's are a girl's best friend.

Another dose of cute today thanks to a shoot with Alka Construction for their upcoming website! Tell me that dog doesn't have an amazingly expressive face.

This is how fall makes me feel every single year! More fun around town with Alka Construction. Do you remember how much you hated scarves as a kid?

Day two of still life play with Alka Construction! How badly do these samples make you want to redo your home? My favorite one is the last combination. The textures and colors are just perfect.

I'm not a beach girl, I'll be honest. Not a summer one, anyway. Too hot, too sticky, ugh. But!! I do love it in the winter! This early morning shoot for Alka Construction features the cutest, most inquisitive little ginger you've ever seen, and all the beauty that is Charleston's Folly Beach. Enjoy!

I get to work with all sorts of people as a photographer, and it's one of the things I love most about my life... But. Every once in a while, it's so much fun simply to play with light, texture, and form. For this part of my shoot with Alka Construction, they let me loose with a bunch of snazzy samples, none of which I'll ever be able to afford. :) Which is your favorite?

Another day, another project! Part two of my shoot with Alka Contstruction: some nature glam shots. I kind of love these!! Any job where I get paid to traipse around the forest is a dream job to me.
Also of note, tumblr is letting me use periods again. Boom. Today is a good day.
And now, for something completely different!
My favorite part of being a full time freelancer is that you really never know what you're going to be doing next: it could be anything from photographing race horses to panhandling on Market Street! For instance, today tumblr will not let me use periods as punctuation! Awesome! Anyway, this winter I had an absolute blast photographing some photos for Alka Construction's new website, coming soon - check out some of my favorites!

Sometimes life throws you for a bit of a loop, and this holiday season brought a lot of unexpected changes. But here's my favorite of the queued family portraits! Hope you enjoy!

I think I've fallen down the gift-wrapping rabbit hole... There is literally shredded and glitter all over my home, not in small part thanks to my naughty puppy. Speaking of puppies! How cute is the Britt family retriever?? That top photo positively made my day. Happy 9th Day of Christmas!
You know who has cute kids? Joy and Patrick have cute kids. And I have been blessed to photograph these tiny love bugs since they were liiiiittle... now they're both moving at the speed of light! Joy and Patrick's darling children are my 8th day of Christmas feature, and I'd have to say my favorite thing about this has been watching this family from the start - Joy and Patrick's wedding!
It's our 7th day of Christmas! And I'm proud to say that for once I started wrapping gifts before Christmas Eve. Anyway! For today's family portrait, I'd like to introduce the Crisps. We did a sweet little anniversary shoot at Boone Hall Plantation, and they were just adorable together!
For our 6th day of Christmas, I'm sharing Anna Louise's precious first birthday!! This baby girl had the prettiest smash cake of all time - I want one. And I wouldn't say no to a tutu like that, either!
I love the beach in the winter. It's gorgeous, cool, and you have the whole thing to yourself... which is why the combined Rice-Ruus family portrait is today's feature for the 5th day of Christmas! These kids had such a blast, can't you tell??
