Everyone’s just a bit shaken, y’know. I promise they’ll stop the moment things get cleared up, though if they don’t- come to me, all right? I’ll kick ‘em all so hard they’ll lose feeling in both buttcheeks. Mhmm. Laying low sounds good. I know great places to hide around school! I mean… I always hang around these places, but not a lot of people like to go there. Well, we weren’t exactly the smartest pair back then, but we had tons of fun. Are you sure? Heh, a while? That’s a bit of an understatement.

Sure. Uh - I was thinking of laying low on my own. But if you're offering, I guess. I could use the help, I don't really know the campus. Sounds...nice. I had a few friends back home, we were the same when I was a kid. Yeah, I'm sure. Things are...quiet around there. When she's not trying to talk to me, anyway. Guess so.

Exactly. Stupid questions like what? Seriously, if anyone bothers you, just punch ‘em in the face, all right? Some kids around this school are the worst and deserve a good punch in the face or two. Heh. Perfect! Mhmm. I like cooking- it’s sort of my thing. I use to bake cookies all the time with… my best friend when we were little and we even tried to open this mini bakery right between our houses. I have to say, though, it didn’t last very long. I— er, well we could always do projects at my house if you’d like. You’d just have to mind my grandma and grandpa. They aren’t the most attentive and considerate especially since we don’t get many guests. She is! I promise. She’s been really kind to me, though… she’s sort of new to this whole sudden mother thing.

Like - just stupid stuff about my dad that I don't feel like repeating. I'd like to, but I'm trying to lay low. That sounds cool. I mean - not realistic, but cool. I always wanted an Easy Bake when I was a kid. Oh. If they're your grandaprents... I mean, I don't mind doing it at Val's. We don't have to be quiet or anything, she lets me do whatever I want. Yeah, I guess so. Its been a while since I last saw her.

Well, I mean Colbie isn’t a very common name, y’know, and— oh, all right. It’s okay. You don’t have to push it. Besides, you’ve had a long day with the whole move, right? How’s the school treating you so far? Gotten a taste of the plastics yet? Oh, good ‘cause I’m not all that great with science science. I’m a lot better with cooking science. Eh, kind of. We get a ton of projects, which’ll be great since I could just hop over to your house, y’know? Uh- yeah! I know her really well. She doesn’t bite, y’know. I promise!

Yeah, it's not common. It's been...weird. People ask some stupid questions. I guess I could help then, so we don't get any bad grades. I was on my way to graduating with honors so. Cooking science? Oh. Yeah, I guess. I mean - I'll be honest, it's a little weird. No offense. But if we have to for school, I get it. She's...nice.

Trust me. They don’t… they don’t know a thing. I- you’re pretty sure? Really? I mean- er— chapter fifteen, aka the most boring chapter about plant cells and animal cells mankind has ever managed to squeeze into a science book. Is that where you last left off at your… old school?

You're right. Thy don't. I remember...I might have known someone. Before. I don't really remember a lo - I don't feel like talking about that. Oh. No, I was in an advanced class back home. I think I'll get by with this. I don't know...do we have to work together outside of class like this a lot? I know Val knows you and everything, but.
