It was nice to see such a kindhearted soul still around in these hard times. Reese appeared easy-going on top of it all, so Jinn wasn’t surprised that her mood was dampened by the malice and selfish actions of others. However, Jinn wanted to assure her that what she did didn’t feel like being used or enslaved. It was a great work of honor to follow the instructions of the God of Light.

“You’re too kind. But I assure you, individuals vying for my power doesn’t make me feel helpless.”

Jinn began to float around Reese, her arms folded and eyes closed while she tried to visualize the best response to this predicament. 

“And if it’s any consolation, my day is going just fine. I appreciate the concern, but people needn’t waste questions on something so trivial…”

Reese turned to follow Jinn as her pure curiosity kept her eyes on the woman. She put on a pout at the response. “I guess,” Reese’s pout eased and became somewhat of a frown, “least they can do is wish you a good day or hundred years or something.”

The hover board enthusiast crossed her arms and thought about even living to a hundred. Not likely in her chosen profession. “Speaking of, I hope you have a good hundred years. I know you’re a person of knowledge and it’d be sad if you didn’t get to have your last question asked and all. Talking to you have been super cool ‘n rad. I’d offer a hug, but I’m not sure if you want that.” Reese chuckled while uncrossing her arms. Her demeanor was back to being open and friendly as she always managed to do.

Unless she was completely and utterly gay for someone in which case she couldn’t keep it together for long.

"Hey good lookin." Reese smirked at her doppelganger "Since when did we get so awesome?" (Kickflip-Slayer)

Reese blinked at her exact twin/clone. “Hey hot stuff,” She greeted back, completely falling into the flow of the oddity. “I dunno, maybe when we totally kickflipped a grimm’s head off.” Reese offered while grinning. It wasn’t exactly a kickflip, but more of a weird maneuver without name. It was easier just to say kickflip.

“That was all you girl. But I did boardslide a King Taiju last week!” She gushed excitedly. “We really need to get some drones to follow us around so the world can see our skills.”

“Imagine the bank we’d make!?” Reese started rubbing her palms together in a mischievous fashion.”The board parts we could get!?” She thought to different parts that she had to settle on due to bank constraints.

Reese looked to the blond boy with her trademark grin before it kinda fell at the mention of the fight. “Thanks dude.” She chuckled nervously. Falling on her tailbone wasn’t her brightest moment. He asked her for lunch and Reese rubbed the back of her neck, “I would, but I’m broke as hell. Hoverboard parts are expensive.” She didn’t grasp that this was a date proposal. Her default was to think it majorly platonic.

“Are you serious?” Reese snorted before letting out a full on fit of laughter. “I mean, I feel bad but you gotta assume asking for more questions wouldn’t fly. The idea of the wars that would cause is fucking terrifying.” She wiped a tear away and let out an exhale to calm herself. Reese picked at some of her hair, “Maybe I’ll use a more intense blue when I dye my hair next…” She figured she’d pick something like the entrancing blue Jinn was. Reese paused for a moment a deflated a little, “It’s gonna suck when someone uses the last question. I think you’re super neat and I’d hate not being able to see you again.” The huntress-in-training placed her palms back on her board and leaned against them. “Oh, it’s my turn. Uhhh…when I first cut my hair, it looked super bad. I think you might have an idea, but it was…embarrassing. I don’t say that lightly either.” She shuddered remembering the way it was uneven and the shaved parts were traumatic.

“I imagine. l am bound to my current appearance, so I suppose I’ve never really had a bad hair day.”

Jinn was tickled that Reese seemed entertained by Jinn’s stories. She had almost an infinite number of them to share, certainly enough that Reese wouldn’t be able to hear even a quarter of them in her lifetime. The woman couldn’t help but linger a little on that point Reese made. About it being unfortunate for her when someone uses her last question and makes her disappear for another century.

But in all honesty, Jinn was jaded to it. She had her own ways of coping with it - it’s not like her job was torture or anything. Even if it was simply because she was created to think she liked it, she enjoyed aiding humanity’s quest for knowledge. She enjoyed seeing how much they’ve progressed every other century. Instead, she decided to comfort Reese in all of this.

“You know, there have been entire centuries in which I wasn’t even utilized. There might be a small chance that my last question won’t even be used until the end of your lifetime.”

“Oh they’re the worst. It’s like, everyone is looking at you knowing just as well as you do that you look super bad. Then it feels like everyone is staring at you and it sucks.” Reese dragged the last word out with a groan of second-hand embarrassment from herself. She cringed and let out an impressive sigh. “Thankfully, that hasn’t happened in awhile.” Reese looked to the Jinn’s hair, “You would look great in a braid,” She commented with a small smile. Reese took in the bit of comfort and nodded while leaning back on her palms again. “Yeah...I’m not sure though. People are cruel and selfish sometimes.” She gave a half-hearted shrug. “I wouldn’t be surprised if people are fighting each other for your knowledge and haven’t thought twice about what kind of being you are. Things like, did this being have a bad day? What’s their favorite kinds of questions? Do they want to answer this question?” It was surprisingly deep thought and Reese let out an exhale that felt sad in nature. She ran her index finger across the grip of her board. this funk didn’t last long. “Sorry ‘bout that Jinn. I didn’t mean to get so down.” Reese looked genuinely apologetic about the whole thing, her frown apparent.

The hoverboard enthusiast laid her palms flat against the board and took in the fact, “Gold, huh? It is a really good color on you.” Reese commented nonchalantly. Her grin died down into a lopsided smile as she softly kicked her dangling legs. “I think you’d look pretty rad in another cool shade too. Maybe something like purple.” Reese clearly had a preferred color combination. A second fact…Reese hummed and chewed on the inside of her cheek in thought. “Oh! I wiped out pretty hard last week, ended up totally eating dirt after falling off my board.” She supplied while rubbing the back of her neck. Her cheeks lit up a soft pink, “Though I don’t think that’s something you’d really want to know…But it was a pretty epic fall.” Reese was thankful for aura as a fall like that would’ve really done damage otherwise. 

“Thank you. Shades of blue look nice on you as well.”

This admittedly was a nice disruption from the usual task of answering questions every century or so. It was nice to see someone so excited about their own hobbies, even in the small slips. 

This kind of back-and-forth was actually pretty entertaining. It was nice to see reactions and fit in. Jinn was beginning to feel the formation of a sense of normalcy. It wasn’t something she craved exactly but something that was interesting to experience. 

“Well, if you want to hear something funny, someone once asked me for more questions. The answer was ‘no’, and then they were down to two. At the time it must have crushed them but in retrospect it was hilarious.”

Reese didn’t have a need for infinite knowledge on a single question. She preferred to let things happen and go with the flow unless harm came to others. The huntress-in-training listened to Jinn’s advice with a growing smile, “Let’s play twenty facts then! It’s like twenty questions, but cooler cause you won’t have to leave after the first one.” Reese knew it was a good ice breaker and it wasn’t like they’d actually need to reach twenty.  Her free hand found her dual pistols and deployed them into her board for maximum comfort. She sat on the board and put her cup down before hovering so Jinn didn’t have to look down at her. Reese knew she was tiny. It was even more obvious after having her neck start to hurt from tilting it up. She commanded the board to reach a good height and grinned, “I’ll go first. My favorite color is turquoise.” It hadn’t dawned on her that playing twenty facts with a being full of knowledge was redundant, but the excitement on her face showed that the thought genuinely hadn’t crossed her mind. Even more obvious was that fact that Reese’s hair was turquoise. 

Jinn couldn’t help but wonder if Reese just found a clever way for Jinn to share her knowledge without using any of the questions. She had a feeling that Resse’s intention was not one of malice, however. No, Jinn felt she genuinely want to get to know her better.

“Well, I suppose knowledge is my realm. Sharing a bit of it freely about myself certainly can’t hurt that badly as long as it isn’t a large revelation. I’d say my favorite color is gold.”

She couldn’t help but be tickled by Reese’s excitement and want to get on her same eye level. Jinn folded her arms and observed the little quirks about Reese’s expressions. Interesting.
