I once got a prompt request for role reversal SessKag. So here’s warlord princess Kagome and time-traveling high school student Sesshomaru.

I haven’t really figured out the logistics of this AU… Sess probably comes from a modern world where demons live peacefully with humans. (He probably still doesn’t think much of humans). I’m thinking he gets sucked into the well when his half brother drags him along to visit his girlfriend’s shrine–whose ancestor, Kagome was believed to have contributed largely to their peaceful alliance today.

I always thought Kagome was probably born into a Noble family, but after her brother was born she was going to be sent off to be a shrine maiden due to her spiritual gifts. But some youkai war that threatened her lands and people made her take up the mantle of general instead (how scandalous). 

Beyond that I haven’t really thought about how the shikon jewel is involved… if Kagome possibly knew the Inu family back then in someway etc. I dunno somebody more clever write this.

In any case I just wanted to draw Kagome in armor.

I'll be honest, not enjoying the romance stuff in the Loki series. There's a lot I'm enjoying about the show, but (ick factor aside) I keep finding myself eyerolling hard every time Loki gives Sylvie those wet puppy dog eyes. Goofy lovesick!Loki just isn't my jam, man. I much prefer the snappy banter between Loki and Mobius. Think I'd personally have enjoyed the series far more if it had been a sort of buddycop mystery with Loki and Mobius.

Also, is it just me or does the series' version of Loki seem very un-Loki-like? Avengers and Thor trilogy Loki was so much more angry and bitter, and cruel. Thor Ragnarok!Loki (my favourite movie version) is more fun and laid back than previous films, but that's understandable because we've seen how/why he progressed that way. Series!Loki is just so soft and gentle, and it's biffing me out.

they went to a lot of effort to bring affordable screaming bright fuchsias and acid greens into the world, and we should honor their tacky, tacky choices.

Oh no, no those are tasteful compared to what wild color shenanigans the 19th century got up to.  Most of them being mid-century are only ~2 colors excepting the plaid.  By the 1890s, five colors per dress was the fashion.  They…didn’t all coordinate the way we would.

The Pragmatic Costumer calls this “The Hot Mess Dress.” It dates from around 1878. Why am I still up?

Sometimes I think that I should just post my writing with my notes to myself in them. Seems to be they’re more entertaining than the actual fic.

Like, is Saku referring to the sausage or the T-rex? Who knows?

Some thumbnails I have been working on that kind of give you a glimpse of Kida’s childhood, and more so the Saiyan society and how it functions in Rumbuggery.

Saiyans were once as vicious and as primal as the animals that lived by them, but they evolved rather quickly and used their brute strength and intelligence to make allies and bond with their neighboring sauraed to continue living and surviving in this difficult terrain.

Raptors are used as hunting partners and pets. Carnotaurs are used for herding Edmontosaurs, and occasionally as family bodyguards. The edmontosaurs are both used as beasts of burden and sources of food, though the Saiyans usually kill when they are more seasoned in order to encourage breeding, bigger offspring and extending lifetimes. For the same reason as Edmontosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurs are similarly herded though in smaller numbers as their armor and protectiveness over their herd can turn dangerous.

There are a few dinosaurs they have not “domesticated”, usually due to their size and ferocity like the Tyrannosaurs and the Spinosauridae, so they stay clear of their habitats and territories as best they can. Saiyans in the Rumbuggery verse are just as advanced as the other Kingdoms under Queen Dodoria, however their closeness and reliance on nature rather than steampunk technologies make them seem barbaric and stupid when they are very much the opposite. However, living alongside the Dinosaurs is more common into the deeper regions of the Jungles and Rainforests of the areas.

Within Saiyan cities closer to the other Kingdoms, the dinosauraed are less common and not as focused on, relying on the Clans and Cities that are deeper in the jungles for their dinosaur meat, rearing and training.
