If the boys were English native speakers, what English petnames do you think they each would often call their significant others? like baby or honey or sweetheart or love or whatever and why do you think it is (the longer the better so don’t hold yourself back trying to be concise)

So this is actually a question I ask myself alot, because I write all my dialogue in English and need English terms of endearment.

Namjoon - We don’t need to guess about this one because we’ve seen it. Namjoon is a “baby” enthusiast. There is a reason all his stans have daddy kinks. Maybe a “baby girl” or even a “daddy’s girl” in the bedroom.

Jin - Something classic and high-key respectful, possibly whatever his dad called his mom. Something like darling, love, my dear, or honey.

Yoongi - would purposefully avoid using pet names because he thinks they’re too cutesy. But then would end up coming up with some particular affectionate nickname based on your actual name that he would use all the time (ala hobi, hope-ah, and seokseok)

Hoseok - Something ridiculously over-the-top in cuteness factor, so much so that you find it super embarrassing and that’s one of the reasons he likes using it. Something along the lines of muffin, pumpkin or snuggly-wumkins.

Jimin - I always write Jimin as using “babe”. Something short and not fancy that makes him feel a bit manly when he says it.

Taehyung - Something he pulled from a favorite classic movie or foreign language. Something like “mi amor” or “ma cherie” or maybe “doll” like an old film noir detective.

Jungkook - We’ve also seen Jungkook use “baby” alot. I think this is mostly because he’s seen Namjoon use it so often and thinks everything Namjoon does is cool. So I think nicknames with Jungkook could go one of three ways: 1. Something like “baby” for when he’s first getting to know you / trying to impress you. 2. Let you take the lead and just tell him what you want to be called 3. Something silly that makes you laugh (ala jimin-ssi).
