Serrennedy Pride Week 2025: Swordfighting - "On The Cusp of Arcadia"

you know the deal, yapping under cut. If you don't want to read any of it, just look at the picture and whatever flaws there are

okay so I know this is late... (technically a week late...) but to be fair that one is on me due to poor time management & also the last week of June is always a pretty busy time of year for me (there's like, three different birthdays in the last week of June for me)

so this is a late submission and while I know the event is over I still decided I might as well finish this piece and upload it anyway because while I did have some problems with it, I still quite like it since I got to mix my two favourite things together. Resident Evil/ Serennedy, and also Sleep Token. Specifically their latest album, Even In Arcadia.

Luis's weapon was inspired by Damocles, meanwhile Leon's was Past Self. I would go more into further details like each one's armour/ outfit like how Luis's is more closer to his actual outfit & more I suppose laid back meanwhile Leon's takes on a more uniform like appearance. But nobody asked so I'll stop talking. (Though funnily enough those two are probably some of my personal favourites and find myself quite heavily relating to them. No that does not say anything about me, what are you talking about?...)

As always, thank you for reading, sorry this was pretty late. I will admit while I do have flaws or nitpicks with this one, I've already delayed myself on this for WAY too long now. I need to stop talking...

Had this one cooking for the past 3-ish years as a companion piece to my other DMC pieces, Vergil was the only one missing. At the time I was still figuring out anatomy and such so you can definitely tell the mistakes in this one now that it's finished, BUT, it is now done. So I shall cut my losses and learn.

I struggled a lot back then with faces especially which is what held me back a lot on this piece.

I also wanted to really go above and beyond and keep making more complex pieces one after another with the DMC themed series I had going on.

Here he is, with his Devil Trigger form. I tried to do Judgement End Cut effect in the 2nd one but it looks sorta crappy lol
