Having "a lot" of followers on tumblr is funny because probably 80% of them are ghost blogs who haven't been on here in like a decade.

It's kind of amazing how much this is the identical strategy. Focusing on the distress and harm of parents over the trans or autistic person themselves. Pathologizing the condition treating it as an epidemic, including calling it a social contagion causing a worrying "explosion" of diagnosis because it is "trendy."

Ignoring the experts on the subject while also appealing to "common sense" and dismissing all research that contradicts them while also appealing to "basic science."

Plus it's all the same quacks and actors behind previous medical and social moral panics saying them same things in the same ways and no one seems to acknowledge that.

I haven't shared this yet but my grandmother died last month at the age of 91. She was my last living grandparent and I can't help feeling that I wish I visited her more than I did in her last year. Last year around this time it still seemed she was so sharp especially for a then 90 year old but time eventually caught up that started with one fall down the stairs until it progressed in to more hospital visits that it was necessary to move her into a home and sell her house to help cover it. Holidays and gatherings at my moms will not be the same without her. What I'm trying to say it I miss my grandmother
