Is that REINA AZAROLLA? A SENIOR originally from SEVILLE, SPAIN, they decided to come to Ogden College to study SOCIOLOGY. They’re THE EXCHANGE STUDENT on campus, but even they could get blamed for Greer’s disappearance.

"I told Edward we should just hire one ourselves, but he turned the idea down." Which was simultaneously disappointing, but also made sense. Beyond the possible legal trouble there was also but the family fallout that would probably be worse. "But if you do manage to convince your parents I will chip in as well. But… perhaps on the down low…" Social pressures ran deep, and he'd never been the type of person to step out of line in the first place. Not so openly, anyway. A dubious sort of look crossed his face at Reina's statement, but he had to give a deep sigh. He agreed, he knew -- or at least he hoped -- his own parents would do anything in their power to find him if he went missing. But once again he wasn't certain if he should say that out loud. "Having the FBI on the case certainly isn't nothing," he said carefully, as he frowned, "I guess they wanted to make sure everything was above board."

Reina gave Ambrose a warm smile, "I appreciate but you don't have to. I wouldn't want you doing anything that would put you in danger. Or put you more on G's radar than you may already be." Ambrose was brand new to Ogden but it seems G had their claws in everyone ready to tear them apart or use them as puppets. "Above board," She repeated with a raised brow. "Look where that's gotten us." Reina added with a shake of her head. She didn't mean to sound sarcastic but at this point she couldn't help it and with the case now being deemed cold she just had a gut feeling the law enforcement involved in this case were paid off. By G, by anyone who maybe didn't want G found, it just seemed odd. At first she didn't think they were doing much anyway, maybe it was all just an act to put people at ease.

"Sorry Ambrose. I guess I'm just over this nightmare. I'm not trying to be a downer at the party." She tried to have a brighter tone. "Especially your first one, this should be a fun occasion! Are you drinking anything, should we get another?"

“A private detective to try to find Greer–“ This had occurred to him many times before. He had even brought it up to his parents in a particularly litigious conversation – the first time he ever yelled at them – but they didn’t seem to care much for the idea. Always too trusting on the tools of official authorities to find their daughter to resort to unorthodox means… “Or to figure out who is sending the texts?” He had never considered that, until then. Until that conversation. Greer’s disappearance being the sole focus of his preoccupations and all.

He quickly drew up pros and cons in his mind. One column on each side, and a list of potential consequences at the bottom. Creating multiple scenarios like timelines in a science fiction novel was a specialty of his hyperactive, anxious mind.

After the last sip of coffee – the worst one, always, bitterer, and colder than rest – he pointed, “Because I think about hiring one for Greer all the time.” The shame of sharing that neither he nor his parents ever had noticeable on his voice. “But I’m also not sure if they would get anywhere. If there are any leads, they’re from these texts.” He lifted his phone up to illustrate what he meant. “And I don’t think anyone will be willing to share the ones they received.” People had committed real crimes. They would never risk themselves in order to help find his sister.

“Now, about the other option, I think we’re better off drafting suicide letters...” G was always a dozen steps ahead – like they had had hidden cameras in their rooms, and implanted listening devices into their brains. If G ever got word that he and Reina had hired someone to track them down, they would meet a death worse than Penny and Ida’s combined.

His thoughts dissolved when she asked him what his take on things was – what he thought Greer’s reason for leaving was.

On the one hand, he had long come to terms with the idea that she was alive and – probably – well. That she had simply fled the country and found a home elsewhere, away from all the chaos. On the other hand, acknowledging it like that felt decisive and drastic. It was recognizing his inability to be there for her, and his own desire to disappear like she had. It was accepting that she had run away and selfishly left people to deal with the fire that broke in her wake.

“All the time.” He finally admitted, after a second of silence that seemed to last for an hour. “I used to think it had to do with our parents…” So much pressure. So much expectation. “Maybe she just got tired of trying to be who they wanted her to be.” How many times had he considered leaving? Disappearing into thin air? He’d lost count… But he had always been better at pretending than Greer. Better at being someone else. “But now that we know how much she knew about everyone here, I think she might have left to protect herself too… I mean, people confessed crimes to her.” An incredulous scoff burst out of him, “She can’t get charged as an accessory if she is missing.”

Reina looked at him, with a slight tilt of her head as she thought about his question. In her mind she thought the two went hand in hand. Find Greer and you'll find who G was. She wasn't one to believe the theory that Greer was G but she believed they were inexplicably intertwined.

As Eddie continued the confusion subsided - he had a point. No one would share the texts willing not unless there was unbreakable trust with whoever they were sharing the texts with yet the idea of hiring a private detective still had more pros than cons in her opinion. The cops might be in G's pocket, at least a private detective might be untouched. At least at the beginning. Who knows how long it would take G to find something to guarantee control over them. The brunette couldn't help but let out a groan, lifting her hands to her face and just letting them drag down her features in frustration.

"Maybe I'll get started on that tonight." She said with an ever so forced laugh in reply to suicide letters. "I'd rather go out trying to find Greer than just sit here at the mercy of G's texts.

The silence that filled the room felt heavy, short lived, but heavy. The Morrison's were hard on their children, she knew that but also knew Eddie had a more deeper understanding of it. Did they really drive their daughter away? "It's odd how Greer could always learn one's deepest darkest secret. I wonder how G found anything out. I don't think Greer would openly tell them but if - " Reina couldn't finish the sentence. How Greer would spill everything in order to save her own skin. None of them were heroes or expertly trained spies like in those movies. If Greer disappeared because she was taken and then was forced to share everyone's secrets, that's a different story.

"I hope you're right that she escaped and is living the life she wants somewhere in the world. I want her to be happy." Reina sighed. "Now if only the rest of us could get there."

"Vague is good enough. Do you think you can sell it to them?" Lying, like so many other things Anya had found they were good at, was an art. A sort of fine-tuned skill that came from continuous practice. The sort of thing you could only truly get good at if you practiced everyday. Hypothetically.

"Let me hear your sales pitch."

"You and I can make up a story and talking just loudly enough for someone to overhear. Gossip spreads like wildfire. And this would give us a layer of protection instead of going up to the guy and saying to his face that his girl is cheating." Reina flashed a proud smile at Anya before looking around. She wanted to be sure their little story would be eaten up by the right person.

"Ooh, let's go over there. I see Chloe and that girl loves to tell stories. She'll be the perfect one to take the bait." Reina looked at Anya and wiggled her brows in excitement for getting this in motion. As they walked, she continued to make sure they were on the same page. "Okay the girl we're saying cheated is Avery who was since sneaking off with Mason. We can even say they were seen going into one of the bedrooms." She made sure she was speaking low enough so only Anya could hear her right now. "Chloe is going to hear this and start telling everyone., especially since it's no secret that she's in love with Avery's boyfriend. That's just going to make the rumor spread faster."

She stopped them before getting too close to their first target. "So you in?"

"bummer. it's always fun to break the seal and take some tattoo virginities." they joke, giving reina a small grin. it was mostly a bummer because freshmen at frat parties usually have pockets full of money and easy to scam with overpriced tattoos, but that part about giving someone their first tattoo was also pretty cool. reina didn't need to know about that other thought that entered their mind.

link takes a second, his mind running through everything that has happened since then — namely, a little text that boggled his mind for days after receiving it. in that same quiet second, he looks over at reina, a thought entering his mind, wondering if she had anything to do with that. at this point, anyone he speaks to tonight under the attack of those texts from g from the beginning of last year could have something to do with it. "no, nothing exciting." he decides to answer, for now. "a lot less as last year's first two months, huh? though, it's nice to come to campus without the buzz being all about a missing student, i have to say. what about you?"

Reina shrugged, she wasn't present herself for the beginning of the last school year but she had heard all about it. And from being on the outside looking in to being in the middle of G's game it did seem like this year was more tame...so far at least. A part of her was worried when everyone returned to school that it would only get worse that G would try to outdo themselves from how the ended last year. "Nothing crazy," she admitted, "which I'm thankful for. But I'm still on high alert, especially when there is a gathering like this. I'm a little on edge not knowing if G has anything planned up their sleeves."

She looked at Link and raised a brow. "There's still some buzz though," she said in regards to the campus buzzing with news about a missing student. "How do you feel about Greer turning into a cold case?" Reina asked him point blank.

The smell from the coffee machine reminded him of cold, rainy Parisian mornings, when life was slow and serene – drizzle streaming down the windowpane as he drowned in an all-encompassing silence, alone with his thoughts or the ramblings of a work of classic literature.

But Reina’s voice brought him back to the present. To Ogden. To Greer’s cold case. And, finally, to G’s most recent manifestation. He only shrugged in response to her observation, though, unaware of how he could contribute to that conversation… They were rich college students... Being manipulative was practically in their job description, so what were they supposed to do with that information alone?

The text Reina got from G wasn’t much help, either. Something about his and someone else’s families being controlling, which left way too much for their imaginations. It was like they were holding pieces to two different 10,000-piece jigsaw puzzles. “Other than that my family is controlling? Not really…” There was a scornful tone to his joke. Not towards her, but towards G and their game of Connect-4.

He sat across from her, in one hand, the coffee cup, in the other, two protein bars he had produced from a drawer, one of which he promptly offered her. Chewing something always helped him focus on something other than external stimuli.

After a sigh, he mused, “I think that’s exactly what they want us to, actually…” He sank into the couch, taking a slow sip of the coffee. It wasn’t like he was sharing some big insight with her, but after the text he’d gotten at the rave, he couldn’t stop wondering about G’s motive for this torture, and that was the conclusion he’d arrived at – and that everyone must’ve already arrived at. “That way we’ll end up exposing each other without them getting their hands dirty.” He crossed his feet over the coffee table. “Kind of like Justice Wargrave in And Then There Were None.” With a smaller secret-to-homicide ratio, of course.

“I’ve only talked about these with you and Parker so far, but that’s because I trust you two.” And, certainly, neither of them was guilty of murder. “But even then, I think we’re exposing ourselves to risk…” On the other hand, they wouldn’t get anywhere if they didn’t talk about it. He took a bite of the protein bar and, for a second, focused solely on the artificial key-lime pie flavor.

His gaze shifted, focus becoming distant as he regarded the dark horizon. Lampposts starting to light up around the campus. “Sometimes I think about taking these to the police.” But there was too much at stake. Too many risks. “But I’m too scared I’ll get pushed off a building or something.” He laughs a morbid laugh before turning back to her, head shaking in denial. “But I do have a feeling that if we get to the bottom of this – find out who’s sending these and whatnot – we’ll figure out what happened to Greer…” There was a pause for a last sip of coffee, as he pondered whether to say what he said next, “Why she left.”

Reina sighed and almost reluctantly took the protein bar from Eddie, even though she was grateful for it. Slowly she unwrapped the bar and took a small bite. Chewing as she contemplated her friends words she couldn't help but admit that he was probably right. It was the same conclusion she had come to but never wanted to accept. She thought about what secret G had on her and who she may have told. Her stomach started to churn, if her secret got out... Reina shook her head trying to stop the thoughts from spiraling too far out of control.

Hearing Eddie say he trusted her helped her bring her back to the present. "I trust you too, hence why I rushed over here." She sighed again and nodded in agreement, "But you're right we're exposing ourselves to risk. We have to be extremely careful." Eddie and Monty were probably the only ones she would openly talk about the texts with, any others she would be cautious. Share only what she thought would be helpful.

"The police..." she started before taking another small bite. "I can't tell if G has them in their pocket. On one hand it feels like they're disappointed that the case was been deemed cold but on the other..." There was a small pause, "...on the other hand it could just be part of their grand scheme of things." Reina pointed to him with the half eatn protein bar. "But definitely don't go to the police. Whether G has their teeth in them or not I don't think they'll do really anything. It's just going to put a bigger target on your back and I don't want that." The comment of being pushed off a building was said jokingly but it was a very real threat.

Another bite of her protein bar and she tilted her head. "Do you think a private detective would help or make things worse?" She licked her lips before taking the last bite of the bar and crumpling up the wrapper, still holding it making note to throw it away on her way out. "Have you..." The next question Reina really wanted to ask was hard for her to say. "Have you thought about why she left? Do you have any ideas of why she left?"

He pressed his lips into a straight line, and nodded his head at Reina's words, giving a small huff. "Listen, I'm hardly the sort of person who is going to bad mouth authority," Ambrose said, to be completely honest usually he was probably the opposite. "But this? I really don't know if a petition would make them change their minds, or reaching out to people to make this viral on tiktok, or getting the true crime girlies in on this would really do much. It feels like they've made their decision. I thought cases could go on for years before going cold…" Had Greer's parents had a say in this? Was it just the police? It was all so confusing. "You thought about hiring a private detective?"

Ambrose's compliance with the decision about Greer's case was kind of a shock to her. Why wasn't he angry? She asked herself. Everyone dealt with things differently but in this instance she thought anyone who cared about Greer should be furious that her case was now deemed a cold one. She didn't want to question him but her expression was one of confusion if only for a moment. "I did, but my parents were against it. They thought the police were doing everything they could. Maybe now it won't take much convincing to ask for money to hire one. Now that G has actually done some harm to their precious daughter they may be more inclined to help figure out who this monster is." There was a pause and she pressed her lips together as she quickly debating on speaking her next words. "I'm a little surprised Greer's parents didn't hire one when this all started."

life or death, god, is that what it had boiled down to these days? did everyone think like that? the grip his own paranoia had on himself was suffocating at times, but he didn't have the excuse of having experienced everything over the year or so to fall back on. would it seem ingenuine if he let it show? suspicious? it wasn't a risk he could afford. so, he remains steadfast in his belief: shit happens, this is nothing. "exactly, so just don't play," he says simply, scratching the back of his neck. luckily for freddie, he'd been long surviving before greer went missing. "i mean, let's pretend this is all their doing. they don't want another death -- can you imagine? one's an accident, another a coincidence, but a third? no fucking way." he can't believe they would want to attract that kind of attention. "so, fear not. we get to keep on living." he holds up both his thumbs and flashes a sarcastic smile. "it was really last minute." aka g's text. "i just wanted to give the seniors a good send off, but yeah. i just left after what happened, if i'm being honest. i probably should've--" he winces a little. "you were okay, right?"

"But if not playing endangers your life or the lives of those you care about, would you really not play? It's a lose, lose scenario to anyone who isn't calling the shots." Reina sighed, so we have to figure out how to call the shots, she added as an inner thought to herself. She looked at Freddie with sad eyes that had just the slightest hint of hope as his words. "How can you be so sure they don't want another death? What if their whole goal is to become a serial killer, isn't it 3 or more victims is what makes a serial killer?" She chuckled although it was no laughing matter. "You're right, we are alive, we get to live. No need to live in fear, right?" She nudged him more trying to cheer herself up. "Was I okay at the rave?" She raised a brow wondering if his question was just asking if she was okay in general. "Yeah, no physical harm, but if I did catch G that night I was ready to fight." There was a sense of determination in her tone. "But the fire at the end of last year...that one I didn't walk away from unscathed." She shrugged her shoulders again. "But again, i'm here. I'm alive so I just gotta keep on living."

Anya has to stifle a little laugh. "That's not usually the word people use to describe me." And even when they did, it was always loaded with insinuations. You're so clever, why would act like this? Just the thought of it was enough to make their skin crawl. "Do you remember what she looked like?" She asks, cocking their head slightly. "If we're gonna do this, I feel like we need to make sure we don't get caught lying."

Reina tilted her head as she tried to recall the features of the girl she had seen earlier. "She was blonde, taller than me...but that doesn't really narrow it down." She laughed as most people were taller than her. Not being able to remember much else worth noting she glanced around at all the blondes around them to see if any of them were the girl this guy came to the party with but she shook her head. "I don't see her, for all we know she's making out with some other dude in another room." Reina shrugged. "But you're right, we should try not to get caught." She sighed, "Do you see any better victims?"

"See. A woman after my own heart. You get me," they wink, exaggerated emphasis placed on the word get. As though it was about something profound, and not just the mundanity of everyday life. It's hard not to laugh at the comment about impatience: if Anya was one thing, and one thing only, it was impatient. It was that in-built sense of urgency that drove her, that pushed them forward. Otherwise she might just have been a boat in stagnant water, floating but never actually moving. "My usual go-to is just to lie. Make up some story about someone's partner flirting with someone else."

A look of subtle astonishment was displayed on Reina's features. Something so simple and yet she had never thought of that, lying about a partner on their way to cheating. Brilliant. "How are you so smart?" She asked teasingly. Revenge was something she could think up quickly yet starting fights, not so much. "Let's pick some unsuspecting people then, who's together, who would make an entertaining fight...if we're going to start something we better make it entertaining." Reina took a sip of her beer and stood practically shoulder to shoulder with Anya now as she scanned the crowd around them. "What about that guy," She pointed to some good looking tanned skin man. "I think I saw him come in with some friends and a girl on his arm. I wonder where the girl went...and his friends..." Maybe it wouldn't be a lie, for all they know the girl and one of the friends snuck off somewhere.

Cara's nose wrinkled up at Reina's greeting, disgust clear as her expression shifted, the drink in her hand already half empty - not that that stopped her from taking another sip from it. She had been drinking since an ace that plenty of people would probably say was too young, but if there was one time Cara was capable of holding herself together - it was when she was drinking. And despite her constant frustration at the expectations leveled on her, she had no qualms about judging the poor kid who probably had little experience drinking and was now puking against the side of a frat house.

"There are a few other things that make it an Ogden signature before someone yakking," Cara replied with distaste, draining the drink i her hand and turning to get it refilled. "You know, I wouldn't even be surprised if they staged shit like that on purpose. Make sure people don't leave their shit parties," she said, clearly in some type of mood that evening as she gestured to the house around them.

Reina hummed as she looked around, following Cara's gesture to the party. She easily picked up that the blonde was in some type of mood, and she also knew a lot could be contributing to it. Her sister's disappearance case was basically closed. Cold Case meant it'd remain open but no one would be doing anything about it until someone else brings in information, at least that's how Reina understood it. Then G's text, she could assume Cara received some as well. And then finally this frat party, it wasn't as extravagant as some Morrison events but it was up to par for Ogden.

"True, but they will never compare to a Morrison party. At least not the few I've been to or the many stories I've heard." She smiled at Cara, not playing into her sour mood. "Would you want to host a party for Ogden? Halloween is coming up."

dead penny -- well, he knew that. jesse's dad, he knew that too. the rave? "yeah, i was actually there for that," he says, as if it's as simple as confirming he'd attended the last party of the year, rather than having watched ida fall to her death. he barely paid attention to the way it was so visibly putting an emotional strain on reina, more focused on letting the information pass through him. he won't give it any weight unless he absolutely had to. after a beat, he focuses his attention back to reina. "hey, it's just a game, right? it's just a stupid game." this was the line he'd decided to go with. shit happened all the time. an anonymous texter with empty threats claiming credit for said shit was nothing to worry about, unless you had something to hide. "i don't know why everyone's just decided to believe everything this person says."

Calling it a game caused something to stir inside Reina, but it wasn't anger or at least it wasn't any type of anger she had dealt with before. "Freddie," She started, looking straight into his eyes her tone soft yet firm. "Games aren't supposed to mean life or death at least not in real life. There is no respawn option." She thought a little more with lips pressed together. "I'm not believing everything G says but I'm not brushing it aside either. I'm just trying..." The last words were ones she struggled with saying. Life used to be so good with practically no care in the world, everything was at her fingertips. Now she felt trapped, watched, like she was in some dystopian tv show. "I'm just trying to survive." With a shake of her head she attempted to change the subject. "Anyways, you were at the rave last year and didn't bother to tell me?!"

He smiled, patting her on the shoulder sympathetically. He'd never been short, even when he was younger, not the sort of child who had a sudden growth spurt and was taller than everyone. He'd always been a very lanky boy, and he was glad for it. Perhaps it was a trait among the Morrison men. "Thirteen is a lucky number in Mandarin," he said, shrugging his shoulders, "that's what I keep telling myself." But it didn't feel like a lucky day to him. Ambrose smiled a little bit, a slow nod of his head. "It is my first official frat party, yeah. It's about what I expected it would be, so my expectations have been completely met. It's all the nonsense earlier that had made it a sour memory already, unfortunately." He was referring to the news about Greer, though the texts as well even if he didn't come and say it out right.

"Nonsense?" Reina said with a raised brow, "Are you talking about Greer's case turning cold? Nonsense is a polite way to say it, I call it bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit." She let out a defeated sigh, her shoulders sinking a bit. A part of her wanted to bring up the texts but she wasn't sure if Ambrose had been graced with G's presence yet and if he hadn't she didn't want him to get all worked up over nothing. "Do you think if we started a petition they'd make Greer's case active again, like really focus on it. All this just makes me wish I actually went through hiring a private detective."

Something shaking under the back of his head woke him up. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Buzzzzzzz. Blinking repeatedly, he tried to make sense of where he was. Lying, half-awake, in the middle of an all-encompassing darkness. He scratched his eyes as they adapted to the setting, mouth wide open in a lazy yawn. Oh. His dorm. Yes. That seemed right. That was where he was.

Something still vibrated beneath his pillow, though, and when he pushed it aside, he wasn’t surprised to discover it had been his phone, shining with a constellation of notifications. Reina’s desperate texts were the ones he saw first. Are you in your dorm? Answer the door! And, without thinking, he jumped out of his bed, an instinctive sense of urgency propelling him into motion. Groggily, he stumbled out of his room and raced to the door, hoping she would still be waiting outside.

“Hey.” His voice denounced his preoccupation, even if it was clear that he was still transitioning from a state of sensory suspension into one of full awareness. “Sorry, I was asleep.” Evidently. His eyes were bloodshot, his face was marked with the shape of the hand on which he had slept, and he lacked a shirt. “It’s been a long day.” The news about the investigation on his sister’s case – which had reached him early that Friday morning – had obviously taken a toll on him. Yet, he had lived pretty much on autopilot for most of the day until a deep sadness hit after his last class, and he decided to go to bed to try and ignore the intrusive thoughts. “Come in.”

He left the door open for her and turned a couple of lights on as he walked back to his room for a t-shirt and his glasses. As he slipped the shirt over his head, he read the texts she had referred to. Maybe she left because… What the fuck did that even mean? And then the little red bow at the end? The little cherry on top. Jesus Christ, just when things seemed like they were slowing down.

“Do you want some coffee?” He asked, walking back into the common room, already going for his prized espresso machine. His voice had gone from a groggy, lazy croon into an irritated sneer.

“I just read the text.” He said, placing a cup on the tray. “I don’t get the point of these anymore. It’s not like we can fucking use them for anything.” He gave an annoyed shrug and silently watched as the coffee started to drip into the cup. “Mine says Greer left because she saw through someone's manipulations.” He made hyperbolic air quotes, ridiculing the tone of the message.

The urge to barge in was immediately subsided when she saw the state her friend was in, clearly she had interrupted his slumber. Reina gave him an apologetic smile and entered the dorm when he invited her in, closing the door behind her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you but I didn't know who else to go to right now." She admitted, speaking loudly enough for him to hear her from his room as she stayed in the common area.

"No," Reina shook her head and tucked some hair behind her ear. "I don't think caffeine is a good idea for me right now. My mind is already racing." As he made his cup of coffee she moved to sit on a nearby seat and listened as he spoke about the texts.

When he shared with her what G sent him, her brows furrowed. "What the fuck does that even mean?" Reina rolled her eyes out of frustration. G's messages were never really helpful but she hoped discussing them with Eddie maybe they could piece something together. "In our world manipulation is sadly to be expected." She scoffed as she unlocked her phone and pulled up her messages.

"Mine isn't any more helpful. It says maybe she left because her family wasn't the only controlling one." Reina sighed putting her phone away. "Aren't most families kind of controlling? I mean I've been fortunate with how much freedom my parents had given me but that all went away during the summer. They were so scared to let me out of their sight. You're her brother, do you have any idea what the text could have meant?"

When the last of her words left her lips there was a hint of regret. Although she didn't flat out say it when she read the text out loud and realized who she had gone to, was G hinting that the Morrison family and whoever was referenced in her text were similar? What were the Morrison's controlling over or about, was Eddie willing to share anything? She might have been grasping for straws but that was better than doing nothing. "I just mean, what does G expect us to learn from these texts. I can't just go up to everyone and be all hey is your family pretty controlling, and if yes how so? You know?"

Anya had, as was usually the case, been sort-of half-dragged to this party by someone who thought they spent a little too much time indoors. Which was, of course, entirely true, but she didn't like the patronising implications that it came with. Like she wasn't capable of making decisions that were good for her without someone fucking intervening.

"Am I allowed to answer that with 'both'?" They ask, holding the bottle of her beer in her hand out in some sort of lofty salute, eyes glancing out at the mass of students around them before returning to meet Reina's. "But people are letting me down. There's not been a single fight yet. Think we should start one?"

"Of course," Reina replied with a nod. "People watching isn't as fun without a drink in hand." She added with a chuckle as she started to prepare a new drink for herself. The idea of starting a fight intrigued her. She quickly poured a shot and took it. "I am not nearly drunk enough to start a fight or clever enough to try to start one that won't involve me." She gave Anya a warm smile, "Don't fret I'm sure fights will break out. We are at a frat party after all and we know how big these boy's egos can get." Reina was trying to decide what drink to make after taking that shot but instead settled on grabbing a bottle of beer. "But if you're truly that impatient, do you have any ideas on how to get one started?"

freddie gives a lacklustre curtsey, pinching the sides of his imaginary dress as he does so. "figured people could do with some cheering up," he says, knowing most people would actually prefer it he hadn't returned. oh well. what's one more problem to add to the list? "you're very late to the welcoming committee, and i'm very disappointed." he crosses his arms, feigning upset. "i was expecting to run into your arms, so i hope you feel responsible for my shitty start to the year." he'd felt somewhat guilty, having returned to ogden at the same time as reina, only to disappear on her shortly after. "ehhh, somewhat. but i'd appreciate one from you, anyway. if you're alright with that."

Reina frowned, feeling the smallest tinge of guilt for not realizing sooner of Freddie's return. "I guess I'll just have to make it up to you somehow." She let out a long, defeated type of sigh. She nodded, trying to buy some time before starting to summarize the events that happened last year. It was still hard to believe that the nightmare they all were living was reality. "I can't provide too many details on what happened the fall/winter semester last year since I wasn't around to witness it all first hand but that's when G made their presence known, Penny was found dead during winter break, which has been recently ruled as unrelated to Greer's disappearance. G sent Valentine's at the Heartbreaker Social, Jesse's dad came to campus to film his show and interviewed students on the disappearance of Greer and what happened to Penny, G baited a bunch of us to go to a rave which I was hoping someone would catch the bitch then." She paused for just a second to take a breath.

"Then G couldn't help themselves but to end the school year with a bang. Or well, with a flame. A bunch of us get trapped in a fire, some of us got out luckier than others. And Ida...she was found dead before the fire started. And Sam was arrested for starting the fire." Another sigh left her lips now that she was done recapping everything she could remember. "And now we're here. So welcome back to the shit show."

Ambrose followed Reina's gaze towards the group of rude party goers, than back to Reina, giving her a small smile. "Is this a height problem?" He teased her lightly, in attempts to lighten her mood a bit. "I've never had to deal with that sort of thing." But he doubted a silly spill would have gotten anyone in that bad of a mood. If anything the water on the floor might end up being a potential bigger problem, but they'd be away from here and not to blame for that. "Are you okay?" He asked, but shook his head before she could answer. He might not be the best with people but was anyone really feeling great at the moment. "Friday the 13th got you down for some reason?" Or maybe it was those texts that were sent out about whatever was going on at this school. Seemed like bad luck on bad luck on bad luck.

Reina could help but laugh, she knew she was short and she was never one of those that got offended when people pointed it out or joked about it. "I would love to experience life as an person of even just average height if just for one day." She shrugged but her tone was joking. She nodded at his question, she was as okay as she could be. She was probably more upset about the texts that still plagued her mind than the spill. "It's just been a day I suppose. Friday the 13th just seems to amplify the bad luck that's been around Ogden for a while now." Reina said with a sigh. "Anyways, are you having fun, is this your first frat party?"
