It wasn’t until Jensen had accounted for all photos, metals, and patches in the box before Anthony had acknowledged the other male. He explained the metals to Remi, telling him that most of the metals belonged to his father and his father’s family. And pointed out a couple that belonged to their mother. ‘My mother was the first of her family to enter the military because her family was all from Mexico. So she was able to join back then as a nurse. My dad, grandfather, great grandfather, etc have been serving since like the first world war. my great-great-great-great times ten was drafted into the war because they never really went to school. I think they were white farmers or something.’ Anthony explained has Jensen neatly tucked away the rest of the metals in an orderly fashion.
“Our father is one of the five military generals of the army.” Jensen spoke suddenly. His face was still a light shade of red, however his voice had lost some of the tension. “My mother has been awarded several times for her actions in the field along with my father. She is one of little nurses that would volunteer to go into the field. My parents were, at one point, involved in some of the middle eastern conflict along with other minor wars within the 90s when we were born. We were born overseas and was brought to the United States in the early 2000s.”
Tony made a comment to Jensen in Spanish, which Jensen automatically snapped back him in the same language. Obviously, with the room a mess, Jensen clearly wasn’t going to calm down. Finally, Jensen had organized the small box of family history they had and fit it back on the shelf. Almost automatically. he went to get started on organizing the rest of the room.
Rem watched the both of them carefully and curiously. Reading their expression, subtle changes, and how they differed from each other. His focus went away from watching them as the metals were explained to him. He looked at them, intrigued by them and what they meant. “That sounds really fascinating.” His statement as Anthony had explained their family to him.At least, Remmy found it to be interesting.
His gaze shifted from Anthony back to Jensen when he spoke. Still, Rem could tell the man was tense, but nowhere near where he had been. “That’s incredible.” He said, a childish glimmering his eyes as if it were some fairy tail story. But it wasn’t, it was real, and maybe terrible in a lot of aspects, but Remmy couldn’t help but to be anything but intrigued by the story. “Is that why you both speak different languages?” He asked curiously, unsure if that was the reason or if there wasmore that had happened.
“I can help you clean.” He said quickly as the two snapped between each other. Once again, more words Rem far from understood. As Jensen started organizing things, Rem started doing the same. Putting things in spots he vaguely remembered them being, though unsure if he was actually right while doing so or not.
