something i love about rosewater as a couple is that they’re not necessarily perfect for each other; i don’t believe in the concept of soulmates and i believe that ‘true’ love is simply a person whom you can find respite and happiness with. they’re not ‘made for each other’ by any means whatsoever but they still love each other and find paths to healing in each other.

the masks on roksi’s side and the nooses on harlyn’s are such a perfect detail representing their biggest fears in life, but i’m interpreting the art to represent that they can still find this safety away from it all in each other’s care.
