[Trans] Shinhwa Concert Video Filming: Cold. Cold. Cold. Cold but fun filming
Ah. It was a really cold day that day. It was cold to the extent you wanted to cut off your toes.
Was it colder because it was in the mountains? However, though it was cold and even colder laughter couldn’t stop
Ah, a daebak happening

[News] Minwoo on Kim Changryul's Old School news articles compilation
Lee Minwoo, “Shinhwa’s secret to longevity? Even I find it amazing”
On February 10th’s airing of SBS Power FM ‘Kim Changryul’s Old School”, M Lee Minwoo revealed, “Even I find it amazing that the Shinhwa members are getting along tightly.”
On this day, DJ Kim Changryul said on the show, “When I see the Shinhwa members promoting together tightly for a long time, I think it’s really incredible.”
Whereupon Lee Minwoo revealed, “It’s not just tightly, it’s disgustingly tight. Even I find it amazing. Fans’ consolation seems to be why we can be tight-knitted even when accidents occur. I’m thankful to the fans.”

[Behind Story] 'Taxi (ft Eric)' music video filming
20 January 2014, when large snowflakes fell. In a studio in Namyang-ju, M Lee Minwoo was filming his new song ‘Taxi (ft Eric)’s’ music video. In order to bring out the dreamlike atmosphere, like when one is drunk, for title song ‘Taxi (ft Eric)’, M Lee Minwoo sang in a different way in accordance to the lyrics. It’s said he showed appropriate acting on the music video set….!!! M Lee Minwoo scorched the set with his realistic acting. Shall we take a look at his music video set?

Singer Lee Minwoo revealed his marriage plans.
Lee Minwoo has released his solo debut 10th anniversary commemorative special album, “M+TEN”. It is already his 16th anniversary as Shinhwa, and 10th anniversary as M. This year, M Lee Minwoo is 34 years old.
Regarding this, in a recently conducted...

[Interview] Quotes from interviews of Minwoo (from 13 articles)
On comeback - “I’ll be returning as M for the first time in a long time. I’m really looking forward to it.” “I’ve gone onstage with new music a lot of times. Rather than care about whether I win first place or not, I want to concentrate on being a good senior to my juniors since it’s my 10th anniversary as M. If I do win first place, it’s all thanks to the great help of my fans. I don’t sing for anyone else but me; I believe that will make my performances more seasoned even though they’re new.” - “I once went onstage wanting to win, but now I just want to enjoy myself.” “I’ve been on many stages, but it’s different this time. I’ve been a member of Shinhwa for 16 years and a solo singer for 11 years, so I want to show through my performance that all that time didn’t pass for nothing.” “I’m not thinking at all of how I rank on the charts. I just want to show my juniors that you can stay with your team for 16 years without disbanding and also be active as a solo singer.” “I still want to keep the promise I made that I’ll drive my fans home if I win. The fans have been preparing a first place project for me like they’re employees at my company. I’m really thankful.” - “I think the hiatus of 5 years wasn’t a short time, but it made me look forward to my comeback and helped me become more determined.” “I’m thankful to the fans and the Shinhwa members, and I can be more confident as a solo singer because the members have helped to lead Shinhwa.” “I’m feeling more laid back because I want to enjoy my solo comeback this year.” “I’ve served in the army for 2 years and the next 2 years I poured all my efforts into Shinhwa; in that sense the past 5 years really went by fast. I felt really empty and I missed the stage, as well as Shinhwa, while I was serving for the army. The members and I were able to come more closer together and mature too.” - “I’m not really going to care how high I rank on the charts.” “It’s not like I’ve never won a trophy solo, and last year I received a lot of love as Shinhwa.” - “It was so hard to prepare for an album and concert at the same time last year. I’m planning to promote solo, then hold the Shinhwa concerts as I tour Asia alone. I’ll be performing my new songs in ‘M+TEN’. I’m really looking forward to it. I’m happy whenever I make something new.”
On ‘Taxi’ - “You usually ride a taxi when you’re drunk. I tried to talk about that in a fun way. A guy gets on a taxi because he’s drunk, but he’s soon sucked into the world of the beautiful taxi girls. I wrote the lyrics thinking of how you feel like you’re dreaming when you feel great. Then he gets up in the morning, and thinking of the taxi girls of the night before, he goes back to where he was in search of them.” - “Thanks to [the hiatus] I think the album became even better.” “I couldn’t release the album during the year of my 10th anniversary because I couldn’t decide on my title song. I was really frustrated before ‘Taxi’ came out. I’m happy I postponed my album because I like the title song now.” “It felt really dreamlike once I first heard the song, and I wanted to write lyrics that felt like I was drunk, which led me to think of taxis. I actually don’t own a car. I think that idea came up because I usually use taxis when I have to go somewhere for personal affairs. Usually when I write lyrics I’m inspired more by movies rather than my own experiences. I wrote the lyrics for Jewelry’s ‘Super Star’ and ‘Baby One More Time’ after watching the movie ‘Koyote Ugly’ and a scene in which the actresses sing and dance.” “I didn’t drink before I recorded the song.” “I did suffer though trying to sing as if I was drunk.” - “I thought the things that are closest to you in your 30s are alcohol and friends. I wanted to approach the public without being too heavy with an easy track.” “I didn’t put in too much because I wanted to show my powerful side with Shinhwa. I can do powerful images with Shinhwa.” - “Taxis? I really enjoy using them. One time I let a taxi driver listen to my title song ‘Taxi’ and he said he really liked it. He was a bit old, and I thought the song would work because he started singing along to it.” “I’m already in my mid-30s. I thought my performances should also show my experience. That’s why I tried to emphasize my laid back image rather than hardcore powerful moves. ‘Taxi’ is supposed to make me look like I’m drunk. Still, it has a big impact. I think this is what solo Lee Minwoo, M Style is all about. It’s what only a singer of 16 years can show.” “I want to make it feel like I’m really using the stage to its fullest. I prepared a lot of easy moves like the ‘accelerator dance’, ‘patting dance’, ‘handle dance’, ‘tumble dance’, and more. It’ll feel like you’re climbing higher as the song progresses.” “I like being more humorously disordered than being neat.” “This is what it would look like if I started performing when I was drunk.” “I don’t try too hard to be different. I don’t want to trap myself in any one genre either. I like being laid back and soft rather than be hard. My music contains the kind of sexy that only those in their mid-30s can show. It’s not too hard and not too easy, and yet it’s still classy. That’s actually something really hard to do.” - “‘Taxi’ is a song I wrote 5 years ago and rearranged to make it more trendy, and I liked it so much I made it my title song. Even my voice in the album is from 2009.”

Shinhwa Should be the Icon of the Transportation Industry
*An editorial from tambling-tambling.tumblr.com (It may look like I wrote this while high on crack, but really I’m not a drug addict. I’m just Shinhwa addicted.)*
Since Shinhwa Company just released the new logo for their 16th Anniversary, I thought it would be a good time to revisit the meaning behind it.
Historically, each part of a coat of arms is chosen for a particular reason because every symbol has meaning behind it. The graphic designer who created Shinhwa’s coat of arms deserves a round of applause for giving them one with such deep meaning.
Even the way the colors change each year seems to have significance:
2012: Red = Warrior/martyr, military strength and generosity
2013: Orange = Worthy ambition
2014: Black = Constancy (being faithful/dependable) or grief
The symbols of the coat of arms:
Phoenix Head = Resurrection
Star = Noble Person, Leadership, Excellence
Escutcheon (Shield) = Defense, Territorial Claim
Border on Shield = Augmentation of Honor
Double Swords = Justice and Military Honor
Knight = The Soul Guiding The Body, Man’s Journey Through Life
Wings = Swiftness and Protection
Cross = Faith, The Trinity (Unity)
Banner with Number (14, 15, 16) = Valiance of __ Years
Source: fleurdelis
2014: Black = Constancy (being faithful/dependable) or grief……
As compared to girl groups, I like Shinhwa sunbaenims. I’ve admired them before debut, and I think I should model myself after them.

Sticker - Shinhwa Edition
The situation now is the same as when we made our debut. It was a period where many idols and groups made their debuts. Because of the different types of colored balloons The people who liked Shinhwa must have been really troubled. Because at that time even if the color was similar it wouldn’t...
I think it would be the “The Night At The Museum” corner in Shinhwa’s episode. During rehearsals, the 6 members each talked about their own stories, and because all of them are great talkers, it was pleasant on set. Occasionally, if the crew says something suggestive, the hosts will ask “how do I do this” but surprisingly, the director often looked to be at a loss because of something the Shinhwa members said. That was how fun it was on set, and the corner itself was extremely funny.

Hyesung: Dongwan looks like he can survive in the wilderness; I won’t starve if I go with him. Dongwan: Hyesung, He will make me feel better with his singing.
