Ah! I just remembered that it would have been more fun if I uploaded the VCR videos as YouTube Premier so people can watch it together and leave (real time) comments! That’s too bad, let’s try it next time when we have time! I will write it down on my notepad~ It’d be fun to invite FEELTUBE and play together too!

Memory VCR was inspired by a video of my favorite handsome-idiotic actor James Franco. I love that video very much and I thought it would be a good idea to combine the intoxicating moments with the touching memories. The video was shown to director Song, who has a similar disposition with SHINHWA, then we persuaded the members, and finally it(VCR) was born. Just like the "crime and war” VCR, only storyboard was given and we began shooting without any script. Most SHINHWA VCRs were made that way, improvised by the members on set, plus completely baseless stupid talks, along with the crazy but unique subtitles and edits done by director Song.

Dydy pretending to be one of The Birds while dad Eric strikes a weird pose from behind. Andy was such a pure cinnamon roll at tonight's concert. Everyone trolled Hyesung. Jinnie danced like there's no tomorrow. Minwoo aegyo jjang. Glad to see and hear Dongwan being so talkative. Eric started this weird dance that everyone copied. So basically, Shinhwa is still Shinhwa. What Ive seen in the videos and broadcasts are literally consistent and unchanged from how they are in the concert. I find that really amazing in a field (entertainment) where most things feel manufactured. Cant wait for the 20th. This is my first concert since being a fan (to be fair, I started last November and am from overseas). I thought I would be content with just one concert. Just for experience. But this felt so short! Will definitely go to the next one. With a much better seat. I got to see them upclose but I want to see their pores next time 😆

Shinhwa and Ouran High School Host Club (Part 5 of 7)

If Shinhwa members were members of the Ouran High School Host Club (OHSHC), who would they be and why?

5) Jun Jin = Mori

Looking at the picture above these two seem to be a perfect match because both have sharp features. However, this part is a bit of a joke because how in the world could talkative Jun Jin be silent Mori? Well, since Andy, the youngest in Shinhwa, became Hani, the oldest in the OHSHC, then Jun Jin, the second youngest in Shinhwa, now becomes Mori, the second oldest member of the Host Club.

Aside from their looks, the other similarity I can see in the two of them is that both are the “jocks” of their respective groups. Mori is an active practitioner of various martial arts like judo, kendo and karate. Jun Jin is the most athletic member of Shinhwa. This YouTube video shows him doing wondrous sports and gymnastic feats.

Mori and Jun Jin’s strength is probably why members of their respective groups like being carried by them.

Based on this picture, Eric has a bit of Hani in him, too. Hani has also been called an alien in the manga and anime.

Jun Jin also = Tamaki

As mentioned earlier, Jun Jin is very talkative and good at grabbing and holding an audience’s attention. This was how he was dubbed the “variety king” of Shinhwa. This puts him at par with Tamaki who is the noisiest of the lot and simply loves basking in the attention of the ladies coming to the Host Club. Like Tamaki, Jun Jin also has a rather troubled and dramatic background story involving his father, mother and grandmother. In spite of this, Jun Jin is still able to maintain his smile. He is considered the sunshine or mood maker of Shinhwa just like how Tamaki is for the OHSHC.

Shinhwa is South Korea’s longest running boy band. They are celebrating their anniversary this coming March 24, 2017. While typical boy bands last for around 5 years only, Shinhwa has been in the K-pop scene for 19 years already without any changes in its original line-up. The six guys you see now are still the six guys who debuted back in 1998.

Ouran High School Host Club (OHSHC) is a manga by Hatori Bisco which was later adapted into animation and live-action series. It tells the story of a smart, no-nonsense, middle-class girl who enters a high school for super rich kids, gets mistaken as a boy, and starts to work at that high school’s “Host Club.” The series was known for subverting various cliches and tropes in typical “harem” animes.
