no cause juvia asking makarov to give gajeel a chance was actually such a crazy risk for her to take. she didn't have gray & co there to vouch for her. she knew fully well that most ppl there would only see her as a former enemy, tolerated at best because she never personally got into a fight with any of them. asking for grace for someone who did hurt the guild in multiple, very personal ways, would have definitely been pushing the line. it could have erased any chance of her getting to join up, let alone gajeel, had makarov not been such a forgiving person. and yet she did it.

PARADISE KISS MANGA SPOILER!!
Paradise Kiss’s ending made me so damn sad!! I literally cried and that never happens when I’m reading something. It’s like I know Yukari and George weren’t good together but their goodbye was so sad and bittersweet. George changed her life forever but she found happiness with the guy I personally felt she deserved but even with that it kinda felt like they were both each other’s second choice. It broke my heart! I am happy with the ending though and I felt like it was very realistic and everything happened like I wanted and personally thought it should but I just can’t help feeling so sad about it. I think that’s why Paradise Kiss is one of my favs. The relationship between the two main characters weren’t perfect and they didn’t get the happy ending together but in the end they both found happiness.

I am obsessed with the English opening for Skip Beat!!! Like I genuinely get goosebumps when I hear it and I’d give anything to hear it for the first time again 🥹
No like I miss them so bad I want to cry. I would sign my life away to watch this for the first time again!

i was wondering what tomoe meant when he said that it would only take a touch to know whether he had feelings for nanami? it was during the izumo arc - when nanami was sleeping and tomoe touches her cheek then kisses her. thanks! :3

Here is the panel this happens in, which is Chapter 47:
He says as he leans in to kiss her, “A touch should make it clear” to what he desires about Nanami. Before this moment in the manga, no one had came up to Tomoe and flat out told him “You like Nanami” until Mizuki said it to him in the jail cell.
Earlier in chapter 46 Mizuki and Tomoe are talking and Tomoe declares his confusion about his attachment to Nanami. Mizuki tells him that it “just means you like her, nothing more.”
You can see his confusion in the panels on the second page. He’s never really thought about his relationship to Nanami as anything more than a master/servant type (which is surprising, based on all the sexual tension they’ve had throughout the story to be honest). He’s probably thinking things like, “Huh… I like Nanami!? When did that happen??”
And naturally, he decides to find out if Mizuki’s words have any truth; this leads us to the scene in question.
Let me also stress that this part of the series is incredibly important to Nanami and Tomoe’s romantic development because Tomoe is looking at her in a romantic sense for the first time. It is true that they have touched each other countless times in the series so far, but this is the first time he will touch her in what he sees as a romantic sense. This is the deeper meaning behind his words. He only will need one romantic touch to decide if he has feelings for her.
Moments later he kisses her and admits, “Maybe… I do like Nanami.”
I know that many of the scenes leading up to this moment are plenty romantic to the audience, but were they what Tomoe would call romantic? From these scenes it is shown that he was not thinking of such things until now.

Something something.... People who hate Jinshi don't really see Jinshi as a complex and complicated character with flaws and growth but as some kind of obstacle/barrier that prevents Maomao from being what their idealized version of her to be (a man hating, stoic girlboss)
