[10:19am] The welcoming ceremony had started hours ago and it was now time for the soldiers to reunite with their families. You turned around to see what had happened to find the two large doors of the stadium had been slammed opened and a beam of light shining through and creating a shillouette of the person standing in front of it.
Out of reflex, your arms came up to shield your squinting eyes from the blinding light. And as your view became a bit more clearer, you realised who the figure was and let out a gasp, as another stream of tears falls down your face. You immediate ran your way into his opened arms and buried your face deeply into the crooks of his neck, most probably drenching his uniform, as you cried about how much you missed him.
