[10:16AM] soulmate!mark wakes up in the middle of his boring history class when he feels the bracelet on his wrist burning his skin. Every single time his soulmate needs him, a gold bracelet that he has since he was a child starts to glow indicating that something is not right with you. Mark always hated it since the burning sensation on his skin it's only a reminder that he doesn't know you yet and that he can't do anything to help you. He really feels terrible and powerless for not being there for you when you need him. Mark always pretends like he doesn't care about finding his soulmate or not in front of his friends, but every time he feels the burn on his skin, he automatically starts to worry and pray to God that you can feel how much he wants you to be okay.

Alright alright, soulmate!au where you get all of the same marks and bruises that your soulmate receives

fencer!jackson and skater!mark

so Jackson always randomly gets these scabs and marks on his knees and elbows 

thankfully they’re not to painful when whenever he spars in fencing

mark always finds his chest hurting and will have black and blue marks all over his torso from when jackson was fencing a bit too tough one day

and sometimes jackson and his fencing buddies fight with random objects without any protection

and yea, a $10 plastic lightsaber actually hurts when you get stabbed in the chest with it

jackson knows that quite well

unfortunately, so does mark

the two are actually acquaintances and secretly love each other

which is obviously how they became soulmates

they went to the same school and had a lot of the same classes

but they didn’t hang out too much outside of school?

because jackson was too busy trying to get to the olympics for fencing 

and mark was too busy seeing how many flips he could do before either breaking his board or his wrist

so they go throughout middle school and high school totally crushing on each other and being acquaintances

but never really getting to know one another

until one day in senior year when their professor pairs them up for a project

yea he’s an 85 year old dude that’s pretty woke and loves playing matchmaker

so mark offers to open his house to work on the project

and once they work out a time with jackson’s training schedule, the two finally are alone together in a room for the first time ever

and of course it’s terrifying, but mark is chill and jackson is the nicest guy so it’s not awkward at all

the project goes well at the beginning

but then it’s actually mark that notices it first

all the scabs on jackson’s elbows that look way too similar to his own

then of course he casually checks out jackson’s knees and they’re scabbed up as well

at first mark is stunned 

because ‘omg is this hot guy my soulmate?”

but then he’s horrified 

because ‘omg have i been hurting him this entire time and potentially jeopardizing his fencing career?!’

meanwhile, jackson is still intently focused on the project 

so mark casually asks about the scars 

and jackson’s a bit confused but says that they sometimes appear out of nowhere but that it’s no big deal

then he causally mentions that they’re not nearly as bad as all the bruises he gets from fencing

which makes mark freeze and then slowly ask if they’re like small black and blue marks all over his chest

then jackson freezes because how did mark just know that

then mark suddenly lifts up his shirt without any warning 

and jackson is freaking out 

because why is mark lifting his shirt? 

and why does his like looking at his chest so much? 

and wHY DOES HE HAVE BLACK AND BLUE MARKS TOO?!

so then the realization hits jackson as well and there’s kinda a moment of silence between the two

because it’s not every day that you meet your soulmate

mark’s awkwardly putting his shirt back on when jackson smiles shyly at him

which is totally ooc?

and then asks if mark thinks they’re souldmates too

mark presses his nail onto his own arm and jackson looks down to find a tiny crescent imprint on his own arm

so mark just smiles and says yes

and the two just sit there and smile for a bit before agreeing that they should probably get pizza and talk about stuff

only after the project is finished, of course

and so they go on a date

and then another

and another

and mark goes to as many of jackson’s fencing tournaments as possible

and jackson studies with mark for university entrance exams as much as possible

and even though they both have a lot of marks and scars 

at the end of the day there’s nobody they’d rather have as a soulmate

than each other
