Star Trek: Enterprise road trip AU

Archer picks up Trip in the first garage he stops at because the boss calls his RV a piece of junk and Trip defends it.

They find Malcolm hitchhiking and even though he insists he doesn’t need a ride and every few towns he mentions they could just leave him here he’s fine. They never do.

No one is sure how Hoshi got on the bus but no one is kicking her off after she sweet talks the cops into letting them go even though Archers license is technically expired

She shows up with Travis at the next rest stop with a “here he can drive and no one needs to get fucking arrested you idiots”

Phlox and T’Pol show up around the same time. They rescued one from a very tall tree and one from a ditch guess which one was where.

Shran is on a road trip of his own in his own RV, and he and Archer keep crossing paths at rest stops and gas stations where they squabble over parking spots

Soval is the condescending chief of police for that entire region or whatever (i have no idea how polis works and who is in charge of what, sorry)

And if/when they get taken to the station because their RV is not safe to be on the road for anyone he always drags the matter out before letting them go.

Their RV is held together by duct tape.

They get escorted off the road often.

But then when they get arrested elsewhere he is immediately on the scene to defend them because these are HIS idiots, damn it

Every time the RV breaks down, Trip somehow fixes it with duct tape. Every time they stop he buys a new roll of tape.

They just can’t agree over the music they want to listen to. Phlox is banned from touching the aux cable because his playlist is a mix of every existing genre ever and it doesn’t make any sense. of course in the end they all end up singing along to bohemian rhapsody because you literally can’t not sing along with that song

they have no idea where they’re going, every time someone asks they just go we’re explorers

– Phlox was found in the tall tree when he was following a snake up it and realized he couldn’t get down. Trip made a ladder out of duct tape and got him down. Phlox still managed to get the snake.

– T’Pol was reading and walking and not looking where she was going. They were parked at a gas station and were taking bets on whether she would notice the ditch. She did not. The doctor said that she should stay off of it for at least and week they decided to continue. She’s been with them since.

– Soval may or may not be T’Pol’s uncle. Neither have confirmed nor denied the allegations.

– Each take turns cooking dinner.

– Travis frequently shouts “STOP FIGHTING OR I SWEAR I WILL TURN THIS RV AROUND!!”

– Frequent fighting about restaurants.

– Porthos came because Archer left to use the bathroom and came back with a puppy.

– Travis loves to speed up when approaching train tracks to make the RV “airbound”.

– There are only a few beds and they rotate.

– Forrest is Soval’s exasperated partner.

– Henry Archer was also apart of the police force and that’s why Soval targets Archer’s RV in particular. 

– They’ve been banned from a few Walmarts.
