Good day/night. I’d like to report a blog that denies stealing and reposting my gifs, even when it's blatantly obvious that they do. They even copy-paste the way I present my gifs (name of the film, year of release.) Just look at the dates on which each gif was posted and the number of notes and you’ll know which ones are the reposts.

Stop giving excuses in stealing & reposting someone’s work

It’s NOT OKAY to repost someone else’s work without permission regardless of whether you credit the author or not.

There is just no excuse, unless if the original creator permits you to. 

If you’re going to credit the original creator, you should share the original post by permalink and link it back to the actual post.

If you know someone has reposted another person’s work, help report them. Don’t let them think that they can repost other people’s stuff and still gain credit for it.

If you find someone’s work from another site and you like their work? Reblog it. Share it. Not repost. And if you can’t find the source to the original creator? Don’t even repost at all.

“B-b-but…. I credited you” No.

“B-b-but…. I posted them because I like them.” No.

As your ask and replies are closed, this will be posted under one of these reposted GIFs. It’s impossible to remain uninvolved when one is fully aware of everything that is being republished. These GIFs aren’t yours, just like the others on your blog. Cropping them and trying to change the colours doesn’t make them yours. Having colour PSDs – why not? But not by using them on creators' GIFs. It’s the same as accepting requests from people when none of these GIFs are actually yours to begin with. Learn how to make your own GIFs; there are so many simple tutorials for that. Like this one. Stop stealing other people’s work.

I can confirm @/redrosecuts claim that @/my-sultana has taken my gifs and remade them with just different lighting. They used to take them right off my blog with no changes when they were called @/ottoman-sultana and @/hurremsultanimm

It’s really beyond comprehension that this reposting blog keeps doing this even after being exposed.

I think @/my-sultana is someone who steals from several gif makers in the Magnificent Century/Muhteşem Yüzyıl and Magnificent Century: Kösem/Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem fandom. Her thumbnail is also reminiscent of another known stealer who regularly wipes their blog and repeats the stealing but I can't say for certain they are the same person.

Hello. That blog name @/my-sultana is familiar, like this post, for example, which has already been shared here. Thank you for including the real creator.

They keep insisting there’s no repost, even though this gifset alone proves the opposite. Changing the colours effect and crop the GIF to a smaller size doesn’t make the gifs look like theirs. The original image is 540px wide, whereas this repost is 534px wide.

They often cut the original GIF at a certain point and/or stretch it further. They also changes the colours or contrast. There are the same number of layers too; it starts and stops EXACTLY in the same place.

hello, drawing attention to this person who reposted gifs of sam carpenter as their own (https://emopunkgirl.tumblr.com/post/809933654048571392/sotheres-this-ultimate-final-girl). the gif on the bottom right in particular is mine. i don't know the other gifmakers who were included in this person's post but letting everyone know this person stole these gifs.

Thank you – the creators of some of the original GIFs have been found and added, but not all of them! Let's not even mention this blog, which is full of sexual content and blood.

The Tommy side of this fandom has been harassing me since I created this account, sending me numerous aggressive asks including ones telling me to kms, all for the sole purpose of liking Eddie at the same time as liking Tommy and not making up a fake narrative where he’s some abusive horrid friend all for *checks notes* pointing his finger at Buck.

So no, I’m not going to apologize for using something someone posted on a public site that I literally gave you credit for.

This is absolutely not a 911 fandom issue. All creators in every fandom deserve respect for their work. Reposting GIFs from creators who have dedicated their free time to creating them is not right. It's not harassment to ask you to remove their reposted GIFs from YOUR blog. There's an easy way to use GIFs from the search bar where the creator's link will always be displayed. Here's a simple tutorial for that. Please stop reposting creators' GIFs. Thank you.

This person has been reposting gifs repeatedly and “credited” creators by tagging them at the bottom of the post with no link back to the original works. They were respectfully informed by multiple creators to not repost gifs and to use the tumblr gif search instead (screenshots here). These replies were deleted immediately and the creators were blocked, with the reposter playing the victim (here).

I'd prove with a link if I was that techy, even after being on Tumblr for so many years and just now making my own gifs. I watermark on my other blog @/bucky-barnez but I've noticed how much I don't like the watermark. So when I started this side (side) blog I decided not to watermark. Also, in case I decide to change my url name. Anyways, if I knew how to link each post to make it more authentic that it happened I would. I love when my gifs are used in other posts but credit would be nice. I always get credit on my other blog.
