but then when he would see that you’re actually hurt or you’re crying, his heart would shatter

if it was someone who did something to you, sucks to be them - they would end up with a broken nose
he would probably put you to sleep and then go out to get them back
when he came back, he would cuddle with you to make you feel better
if it was a situation that you were in, he would try his best to comfort you
