Had a dream last night I was watching a documentary called ‘New Horizons’. It was about journalists following the stories of people who claim to have lived on an island with anthropomorphic animals, run by the mysterious Tom Nook (if that’s his real name) after years of being considered missing. None of them know each other yet all their stories line up.

Who is Tom Nook? How is he doing this? Does he have only one ‘island’ at a time or multiple? Where are these ‘islands’? Is it a from of tax evasion? Could he be considered an internationally wanted criminal? What’s his end goal? How does he have another business of interior design? Are these ‘villagers’ suffering from a mass illness? Radiation?

The documentary ends with no answer. Tom Nook, his conspirators, and the islands can’t be found. There’s after credits scenes of doctors and psychologists talking about how the victims are reintegrating into normal life. Ranging from realising money doesn’t actually fall from trees or furniture from flying balloons. That music they loved doesn’t exist. That they aren’t the only human. It’s tragic and sobering.

But then, just before a fade to black, there’s the sound of a phone ringing. An unknown number. The journalists pick up the call. A timid voice. “…Hello. This is Timmy Nook. I’d like to talk.”

Fade to black.

20 KPDH HEADCANNONS BECAUSE ITS IN MY BRAIN WITHOUT A PERMIT

Okay so I’ve compiled headcannons for kpdh because it’s infested my brain. They don’t always work together but who cares??

1) Baby works by gremlin rules (saja boys discover this through trial and error)

2) Jinu created chore charts for them (with stickers) to keep everything on track

3) Mira plays animal crossing

4) Zoey is neurodivergent

5) Baby is short

6) Baby has an oral fixation (get your head out the gutter) hence the lollipops. (The next more popular things to chew are his own arms and rocks)

7) Saja boys only sleep in a pile. You can’t avoid the pile. The pile (Abby) will drag you in

8) Mystery gets hit by a bus and walks away without a scratch. He didn’t hate the experience.

9) Romance made them all friendship bracelets

10) Rumi can’t swim

11) The girls gave Derpy his own room.

12) They tried to play ‘cat tv’ for Derpy but he knocked the tv down (they switched to a projector)

12) Sussie steals Mira’s bow

13) Bobby gave each of the girls their first sip of alcohol

14) Baby and Zoey compare their notebooks of insults. Extremely creative. Expletives and innuendos as far as the eye can see. There’s a debate between the rest of them after about who taught who what

15) There’s a whole section online of people naming their turtle’s Zoey

16) Rumi wears the bears-and-trains pyjamas when she’s sad (demon-stomach means she can put away three pints of ice cream with no issue)

17) Once a week (the days rotate) Baby moves all the furniture 3mm to the left and watches the chaos (everything is put back the next day)

18) Mira knows the most absurd laws

19) Saja’s don’t know what they look like until the they look into a mirror for the first time. The mirror remains covered because Mystery barks at it and Abby thinks it’s haunted

20) 100% there are threads/fan sites filled with theories and evidence of Huntrix’s real identity but they’re disregarded as really intense roleplayers
