My cat has mammary cancer. I went into the appointment knowing that the lump on her stomach was probably cancer. What I hadn't anticipated was that even with surgery and chemo, my sweet baby is probably still going to die in a year. She’s only 11 years old. She's been with my most of my adult life. I didn't think she was immortal, but I thought we'd have more time. I wanted her with me through all of my big events. I wanted to move us into a nice house where she could have room to hide and nap and play. She will only know our apartments. My other cat has never been without Tater. They're mother and daughter and do really love each other. How do I carry my grief and hers?

The worst part is, I'm mourning her, and she isn't gone yet. I'm so worried I'm going to miss something else and lose her even sooner. All I know is I can't stop crying.

Crying on main because in season 10, episode 11 of Bones, The Psychic in the Soup, Christine's imaginary friend is implied to be Sweets and I'm just thinking about how much time they would have spent together when Sweets lived with Booth and Brennen and it is making me really sad.
