It's been a while but here is an update. Been at the job ( H G ) for about 10 months now. Our team did so well doing overnight they made it a permanent position ( probably one of the only stores in the company) and I really like the job! I have a great manager and good coworker. Now that the holidays are approaching we are getting more hours, which is great for my financial goals.

I would say I do still struggle with the sleep schedule ( it's been hot out) and trying to socialize with friends & family can be difficult, but not having to deal with customers or being a cashier makes it all worthwhile.

At the end of the day, my thoughts on job hunting are that it's incredibly stupid how every fiber of our current socioeconomic structure is screaming that you MUST have a job and nothing else matters because you MUST be working and that's the only thing of true importance so never forget that you MUST have a job, and I'm like damn okay so I'd like a job, can I have one? And the answer is No
