I dare say that the White Mountains are the most beautiful place in the world.
The other day I had a meeting with my Coach. We were debriefing about my half marathon and how I ran and felt. We were running numbers to find out what it would take for me to qualify for Boston. Boston is the reason I started running. Boston is my heart, my home. I would run 3:46 if I were to run Boston today based on the simple math that I ran for my half in Philly which if you missed it was 1:48. The standard protocol for estimating times is to times a half marathon by two and add 10 minutes. That would leave me running 3:46 and to qualify I need a 3:35.... So 362 days and 2500 seperate me from the line in Hopkinton and the line in Copley Square. Boston, for you I will.
Last night my sweet, sweet boss who has opened her heart to us all year opened her home to us and gave us such a fun experience. We got to make our own rice paper rolls stuffed with all the good stuff! Veggies, rice noodles, and a delicious peanut sauce. GUYS, she even had tofu. I honestly never really eat tofu because I can never make it taste good but this tofu tasted like chicken nuggets but you know no đŁ were harmed in the making.....AYE! She also made this ginger drink that was off the wall good. Her home was gorgeous and made the JP girl in me come out. We ate and sat on her porch and it was so refreshing to my soul to soak up the city and genuine conversation. Ending the night with sorbet didn't hurt either. Also...happy earth day guys! Everyday we have a choice, choose love, dig deep. This is our one place to live. What one simple change can you make today to help the Earth tomorrow?
If you're obsessed, compulsed, or tempted to weigh yourself hear me now...your weight is nothing more than your gravitational pull to the Earth. Repeat after me, my weight is my gravitational pull to the Earth.

How to talk to your daughter about her body, step one: donât talk to your daughter about her body, except to teach her how it works. Donât say anything if sheâs lost weight. Donât say anything if sheâs gained weight. If you think your daughterâs body looks amazing, donât say that. Here are some things you can say instead: âYou look so healthy!â is a great one. Or how about, âYouâre looking so strong.â âI can see how happy you are â youâre glowing.â Better yet, compliment her on something that has nothing to do with her body. Donât comment on other womenâs bodies either. Nope. Not a single comment, not a nice one or a mean one. Teach her about kindness towards others, but also kindness towards yourself. Donât you dare talk about how much you hate your body in front of your daughter, or talk about your new diet. In fact, donât go on a diet in front of your daughter. Buy healthy food. Cook healthy meals. But donât say âIâm not eating carbs right now.â Your daughter should never think that carbs are evil, because shame over what you eat only leads to shame about yourself. Encourage your daughter to run because it makes her feel less stressed. Encourage your daughter to climb mountains because there is nowhere better to explore your spirituality than the peak of the universe. Encourage your daughter to surf, or rock climb, or mountain bike because it scares her and thatâs a good thing sometimes. Help your daughter love soccer or rowing or hockey because sports make her a better leader and a more confident woman. Explain that no matter how old you get, youâll never stop needing good teamwork. Never make her play a sport she isnât absolutely in love with. Prove to your daughter that women donât need men to move their furniture. Teach your daughter how to cook kale. Teach your daughter how to bake chocolate cake made with six sticks of butter. Pass on your own momâs recipe for Christmas morning coffee cake. Pass on your love of being outside. Maybe you and your daughter both have thick thighs or wide ribcages. Itâs easy to hate these non-size zero body parts. Donât. Tell your daughter that with her legs she can run a marathon if she wants to, and her ribcage is nothing but a carrying case for strong lungs. She can scream and she can sing and she can lift up the world, if she wants. Remind your daughter that the best thing she can do with her body is to use it to mobilize her beautiful soul.

Promising this kid as long as I'm alive he will have someone to provide for him, protect him, hold him, hug him, laugh with him, cry with him, pray for him, fight for him. Forever and always baby boy.
It feels like home.
Life has been so full and wonderful this week. I've gotten to run on two different trails with two dear friends. It was so good to enjoy the gorgeous warm weather. I also enjoyed being able to see my aunt and uncle. I think this has been the busiest break I've ever had. I haven't been home one night I've been off off and away. Ive gotten a solid amount of work done too. A really great part of this break is I've had such a peace about moving back home. Things are in the works for me to rent a house with two friends which would be ideal. I need to be more persistent in looking and applying for jobs. I'm having a minute of rest now as I'm sitting in McDonalds while my nephew plays so I may apply for a job or two while I wait.
âHave you ever felt a connection with someone? Not in lust or in their image, but in the richness of their soul & the vibes they give off?â
