Had this idea floating around ever since Undertale came out. What if Frisks poor heart was batted around by lethal league characters? This is what happens.

The fun part was realizing how many of Undertales assets could be used with Lethal League. Worked pretty well I think.

Just a heads up this mod replaces all of the default colors for Lethal League’s six characters to a 1-bit color palette, if you don’t want that messed with then you should hand pick the palette files and rename them to something other than 0.png before copypasting.

Matches between Diplomat and I are always pretty flashy, the latest update makes matches more fun to watch in my opinion.

Battle Kitchen

It’s been a while!

After I found out Latch is an unlockable character in Cook, Serve, Delicious! and saw that the game had a background that was ripe for making a stage out of, I just had to bust out photoshop and try to make a stage out of the Battle Kitchen. I had a lot of fun coming up with things to add to the stage, like the ‘recipe’ box thats shown in C,S,D! added to the eclipse version of the stage. This mod also includes a track from the game, though I shortened it so it loops better. Since Sewers is Latch’s level, Battle Kitchen replaces it.

After finding out about Latch in another game I have to ask, where’s all the fan art of Latch as a chef??

Here’s an edit I’ve held onto ever since I made it, it changes the post game GAME graphic with REKT and also replaces the soundbite with the announcer going ‘Rekt!’

I kept it because I wanted to make my twitch streaming of Lethal League as unique as possible (plus I paid money for someone to come up with the Rekt soundbite) but nowadays that’s not really an issue with how rare people stream the game to begin with. I’ve had requests for the edit before so here it is!

Jaw Breakers 2015 Swag!

This is my reward for placing 3rd in Jaw Breakers 2015, Lethal League's first official tournament. It included a hat signed by the developers of the game (plus one intern at my request,) two business cards and a letter from the developers congratulating me and thanking me for playing the game. This is so awesome! I'm not even sure I'll wear the hat, unless I know I'll run into Tim and Dion at a convention or something. This made my month, love these guys and love the game.

I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted this edit up until Smellyhobo101 mentioned it during my last twitch stream. It’s a change to the time of day in the stage from sunset to sunrise. Although that would make the moon in the eclipse version not make sense, but you know, whatevs.

AKA Jawbreaker What got you into Lethal League?

“A longtime internet friend of mine, GrandmaGrimm, is solely responsible for getting me into the game. She was looking for someone to play the game with and at the time I didn’t own Lethal League or even heard of it, so I bought it on a whim so we could play against each other. I was instantly hooked.”

Who is your favorite character?

“Candyman without a doubt. He’s my favorite by far, so much so that I changed my Steam handle to Jawbreaker in homage to the tap-dancing dandy.”

What is your favorite map?

“That’s a good question. They’re all great but if I’d have to choose it would be Abandoned Pool.”

Who do you hope most to face in the tournament?

“Shffl | N64. His Sonata is insane and it’s always a fun, crazy match when I’m up against him.”

Who are you most afraid to face in the tournament?

“Tixl. He really upped his game and developed a playstyle with Switch that’s tough for me to counter. A switch flip from him usually means death.”

What are some other games you play?

“Duck Game, Risk of Rain, Halo and Battlefield, just to name a few.”

I never liked Factory’s teal and mustard color scheme so I took the images into photoshop and messed with the color slider a bit, I removed the front railing from the foreground and added Candyman’s logo to the background.

This is totally unexpected and completely fucking dope! I’m REALLY excited for this. I’ve participated in plenty of tournaments before (I’ve won a few, too) so to see Team Reptile support the Lethal League community with an official tournament is just so hype and exciting. My handle when playing Lethal League is ‘Jawbreaker’, a bittersweet coincidence considering I’ve been playing the game for months, racking over 500 hours of gameplay, so it’ll be funny when someone tells me “Oh you just named yourself after the tournament, how original.”

I gotta train now! I haven’t been playing or streaming Lethal League as often as I used to since I got a job, but I really have to make time for it now to get that edge back.

Custom Expressions Pack 1

To install them first save them onto your computer and rename them to the desired expression you want to replace. The filenames are as follows:

Nice: expressCompliment.png

Wow: expressSurprise.png

Oops: expressMistake.png

Bring it: expressChallenge.png

Rename the custom expression files to any of those and place them in the resources\graphics\game folder of your Lethal League directory.

Lethal League: Scratch Session

This is a project I had been working on and off for the longest time. It had been completed for a while now but I never got around to cleaning some of the files up and posting an official release. I showed it off and provided a download link on my twitch channel, but I think a tumblr post would better serve as the official download page for it.

The mod is a complete character edit for Candyman, changing him from the tap-dancing dandy to the omniscient host Doc Scratch from Homestuck. The mod includes:

An edited spritesheet

New color palettes for the character (All 21 were replaced, including team colors)

New Felt theme UI

New menu music

New stage: Felt Manor (replaces Room 21)

All original track for the new stage

Homestuck-inspired expressions

Candyball is now a cueball, complete with Green Sun effects

Original music commissioned by Whatthisissooutrageous a fellow Homestuck fan, I saw and listened to this piece he composed on his youtube channel and wanted more, so I reached out to him and asked if he could commission a similar piece for the mod. 

I also reached out to another youtuber, LordMegatronG1, a voice actor who likes to make Doc Scratch demos, he provided a soundbite for Doc’s victory quote. I wanted him to do more so all of Candyman’s voice audio was replaced, but unfortunately he had fallen upon hard times and could not record more despite his complete interest in being in the project.

All in all I had a blast doing this project, I had never committed to working on something like this before, and the feeling of completing it and sharing it with everyone is hard to top. If you’re a Lethal League fan or a Homestuck fan or both, I’m sure you can enjoy this in some way or another. Enjoy!

P.S. I may make more Homestuck themed stages down the line. A youtube trailer was also planned, but I won’t make it until the voice actor I have in mind is able to record new audio for Candyman.

Dusky Train

Here’s a Lethal League stage edit I did a while back. The train no longer moves to help minimize lag and distraction in online matches, and replaces the scenery with vibrant colors.
