Friends are among the most important people in Kinnara’s life. She will stick up for them no matter what and will have their back. They are the people she leans on most - if she needs to lean on anyone.
Caspian smiled, laughing a little. ”Some of the gossip unsettles me a little,” he admitted. ”For a lot of people, the palace is were they work, but for a few, it’s their home, and yet they get very little real privacy in it.”
"I can understand that," Kinnara replied as she looked at Caspian curiously. "I'm the type of person that says what they want to say so I'll say this: You intrigue me, Caspian. You are an interesting soul."
Which flower would your muse give to mine?
Put a flower in my inbox to show your muse’s feelings for mine, anon or not: AMARANTH: Broken-hearted BEGONIA: Warning CARNATION (YELLOW): Rejection CYCLAMEN: Parting LAVENDER: Distrust LILY (ORANGE): Hatred MARIGOLD: Jealousy GERANIUM: True friendship SUNFLOWER: Gratitude TULIP (WHITE): Forgiveness VIOLET: Loyalty ZINNIA: Memories DILL: Lust MIMOSA: Secret admirer PEONY: Shyness ROSE (ORANGE): Fascination ROSE (RED): Love SYCAMORE: Curiosity TUBEROSE: Pleasure
Caspian shrugged, smiling. ”I’m not one for gossip, to be honest, but it’s impossible to avoid hearing the whispers between servants. I try not to be the one spreading rumors, but I tend to know about them nonetheless.”
"How noble of you," Kinnara replied. "You are obviously the wrong person for me to find out some of the palace gossip. But that's no bother. I enjoy your company all the same."
"Oh Kinnara Falaise as councilwoman?" He asked taking her hand into his.
"My reputation seems to proceed me," she said with a small smile. "So you've heard of me?"
"I hope the people I serve agree. I’ve certainly found them to be highly interesting, and, for the most part, surprisingly kind to a foreign commoner."
"And I'm sure you're find out all kind of interesting things," she said with a bit of a smirk. "I hear that the help at the palace gossips more than the rest of the kingdom."
"I am an interesting man." He replied with a smug look. "Oh forgive me, my name is Leith Vitalis. And you are?"
"Kinnara Falaise," she replied, extending her hand towards him.
Yes, I've heard..
Don’t blame yourself, Kinnara. If anything you are the one trying to contain the situation.
I understand, I will set for home as soon as time allows, will you travel home,or would you like to accompany me?
I will wait to make the trip back with you. Lord knows it will be hard enough to seeing the ruin by yourself.
Caspian laughed lightly. ”Only when I haven’t done anything of note.”
"Well I'm sure you are a nice breath around the palace," she replied.
"Still, I value your opinion on this.", Roslin responded with a quick smile and an easy nod. "Try, I might."
"Well I'm glad you think my opinion so high," Kinnara replied. "Just, be careful."
Is there anything I can do for you? Else I do have to continue working…
No, I guess there isn't. I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time already.
Thank you for indulging a young woman's curious mind.
Yes, I've heard..
I can assume you are correct, now I’ve a feeling I never should have left when I did. Of course they will be punished Kinnara, you know abhor using our powers for violence but in this case, it cannot be avoided. I’ve been meaning to speak with all of the Councillors, it seems things have turned unruly among all of you and they are not hearing you for what you have to say. I did not return here only be heralded back with less than acceptable news.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, Stefan.
I just don't know what else to do. Things have gotten so far out of control. I'm at my rope's end.
Caspian huffed out a small laugh and shook his head. ”I’m no charmer,” he said, shaking his head amiably. ”If anyone in the palace enjoys having me around, I’m sure it’s because I’m good at bringing their dinner quickly.”
"And always with a smile on your face?" Kinnara asked with a smile. "You seem to be quite the modest person."
I am quite afraid that would not cover my bills, love. As much as I am surprised that people actually want to buy paintings of me after everything that had happened, I can still somehow understand that.
Poetry however… I can not imagine there will be much of a market there. But I do appreciate the sentiment. Thank you for that.
You're more than welcome.
"The gods smile down upon those who work. They gave me the gift of intelligence and I proudly accept it."
"You have a rather interesting view on things, sir. What did you say your names was?"
"Taken with me?" Caspian said with a small laugh. "I’m not sure about that. But the walking thing is getting easier, so I’m sure you’re right in that aspect, at least."
"Well you are a something of a charmer," she teased. "I just mean that I'm sure all the people at the palace enjoy having out around."
I have never dared to call myself a poet, love, although some say drawing can be poetry on canvas… I do have to admit the presence of a lovely lady does make words flow easier.
No, I think I just get carried away when I talk about my art and the inspiration for that.
Well you might want to consider the written version of poetry as opposed to the painted. With the right muse - you would be such a celebrated artist.
