While I will not tag you unless you've stated you want to see reviews, I will link back to your work on the platform where it's been posted.
This is more of a digital journaling project than anything, at no point do I intend to become disrespectful, but if I don't like your work I will say it, be it "it's not for me" or "I think X was handled poorly".
I do understand you're doing this for free however so I'll always try to have that in mind when writing these.
Note to Readers:
If I find out one of you has gone to harass anyone with a low rating I will kill you.
I may not be alloaro but aroace now that I'm thinking about it, but I have enough shit going on in my life and these fanfics aren't going to read themselves so
EXTREMELY NSFW fic told from the perspective of Groot.
Archive of Our Own
I'm not personally part of this fandom so I have no emotional ties with the characters, but I have to say... This was so intense, I came 10 times while reading from how good it was. Had to take snack breaks too.
Here is a small snippet that I wrote as a continuation and homage, I hope it's as good and erotic as the original, brace yourselves.
I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot.
"I am..."
"Groot!" I am Groot. I am Groot.
"I am Groot."
I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot.
I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot.
I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot. I am Groot.
I am Groot.
I am Groot.
I am Groot!
I understand if it's not good enough, specially when compared to the original, but I hope it's okay enough.
My Immortal is a Harry Potter-based fan fiction serially published on FanFiction.net between 2006 and 2007. The story centers on a non-canonical female vampire character named "Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way" and her relationships with the characters of the Harry Potter series, particularly her romantic relationship with Draco Malfoy. The work takes its name from the song "My Immortal" by Evanescence. - Wikipedia
Strange Aeons Podfic - Emil O. W. Kirkegaard
Obvious ranking: lgbtphobia, maybe some racism but for sure some colorism -not surprising with how goth this all is-, and other disturbing topics being badly handled (pedophilia, etc). Very amateur writing too, yada yada.
YES TARA!1! i'M FLAMIN' TIS!!1!!1!
This was a very fun and even a nostalgic read? I grew up on Wattpad, which is it's own can of worms, so this was reminicent of the type of fics that I wrote: no care for who would read, how well/badly written it was nor any care for the topics I wrote about; just an outlet.
So the age old question: was this a troll?
I do not know, because I can easily see it both ways. So, in case Tara is real and you're reading this: I hope you're doing better mentally. I know how it was back then to be goth or any type of alternative, the positions it put you in with both adults seeking to take advantage of you and your peers, I saw it in who I thought was my then best friend.
I know how it is to have the only outlet you can think of crossed out as immature and being mocked/hated for it, now should you have posted this fic? Maybe not, but there's worse things to do than writing words on a paper.

Summary:
Harry Potter is dead. In the aftermath of the war, in order to strengthen the might of the magical world, Voldemort enacts a repopulation effort. Hermione Granger has an Order secret, lost but hidden in her mind, so she is sent as an enslaved surrogate to the High Reeve until her mind can be cracked.

Okay, this was the least enjoyable, somehow. I don't think I can pinpoint it to anything in particular sadly, I just didn't vibe as much with these later chapters.
I do apologize since this review will be more vague.
I don't like Draco, at all, I don't think there would be a way that you could show how he didn't want the rape either —not with the constraints the story has— nor how sorry he is in a significant enough manner.
Does that mean it is badly handled? Not necessarily, it's a horrible situation all around and the way he is shown to handle it is poor at best, which tracks with his character and his personal biases. But painting it as if it was the only way is... There are ways he could have skipped the weekly rape (if I'm understanding correctly timeline wise), at least some of them in a way that wouldn't blow his cover with Hermione.
Astoria is... I feel bad for her. She's more of a plot point than a character, I don't think she was necessarily as well written as I would have personally liked. She did have her reasons to act the way she was acting, but she was a grown woman too, I feel like a tiny bit more calculation and maturity on her part would have been better.
Now Narcissa, I love that backstory for Draco, makes more sense on why he joined and how that changed him. Once again, I feel like she was more of a plot point than a character.
That said, I do enjoy how she was portrayed as caring for Lucius more than Draco in the painting, it makes a lot of sense and it was an interesting usage of paintings, something I didn't see as much in the fanfic I read when I was younger.
No comment on Hermione, she isn't perfect but she's well written and did her best. Love you, JK didn't appreciate you enough.
OH THE HOUSE ELVES! 1) Thanks for making actual characters out of them but 2) they're still slaves, there can be a nuanced conversation about this both in a meta-textual perspective and in a in universe one —both of them I don't feel comfortable starting due to me not being black—, yes.
I also understand it's not the point of the fic, but some sort of mention from Hermione about it would have been in character, maybe to chastise Draco on the first book, maybe later on as a way to liberate them, etc.
This also reminded me how much I hate JK Rowling, Ms. Let's name the main black character SHACKLEbolt, Ms. Let's make a race of character slaves via biological reason (eugenics if I'm correct), Ms. Let's make the only other black character —Zabin— a death eater (which only happened because his precious actor got arrested, but I digress).
This fanfic, like many others in the fandom, has those issues too. Because the source material is inherently racist between other things, I don't think it's the point of all fics to fix this, but I think it's important to mention it since the writer is still alive and profiting from it.
Ms. Let's take a male name to make more money, let's change the way I'm perceived to feel more comfortable but has issues with trans ppl.
The epilogues are fine? They're not my flavour but they're nicely written, I like how the kids act and it's a nice seway to their possible romance, I wish we had more mentions of Topsy tho, she deserved more.

Oh... This would have wrecked me if I had found it when I was younger, holy shit.
Much more enjoyable than the first, in account of the lack of rape, writing experience and skill getting better; I specially enjoyed the small snippets of the golden trio, as much as Ron and Harry were crybabies at times —for fucks sake, you're at war, have the mercy to end this quick for your own and do what must be done—.
Chapter 61 by the way, SenLinYu, count your days. I've never been a Harmony romantic shipper, and I still am not, but they have such an interesting dynamic, —here, in the books it's underutilized (obligatory fuck you JKR)— I was fighting back tears while in the university library.
Also, justice for the Weasley family they needed more page time, specially Ron and Ginny since they're more plot relevant. Nevertheless I do understand having to pick your battles when writing from the POV of an isolated character, it makes sense why we didn't get more.
Lastly, I am now fully on board of the magic science side of things, still don't fully get it but I like it more now, feels less plot convenient compared to the last book.

My feelings towards JKR aside —they're not good to say the least, srs get professional help, you're an adult, act like one, the mold, etc—, I saw that it had recently had the barcode filed and published professionally under Alchemised. So I said, hey, why not?
I had a big phase as a preteen-teen after I saw The Big Four (first fandom ever) Hogwarts AUs so I was already familiar with the lore.
On the lore, I'm a bit confused about how the spell theory was mixed with the more biological and even scientific side of things, I don't think I can put it into words so I'll leave it at "not for me". It did give me pause a few times, but it serves the narrative so I get it.
This may be something I need to talk with my psychiatrist about but, the rape scenes didn't give me as much pause as it gave other readers —from what I've seen review wise—, they are well written, respectful as much as they're explicit, and correctly not romantic because it's not the genre for it.
I had to stop twice only in relation to these, first with the only "non-mandatory" rape that happened —let's avoid spoilers—, which as much as I understand that it's used to contextualize Malfoy as better, I still don't like it all that much; and the vomiting that happened in the last rape scene of the first book, that's a me thing, I'm sensitive to vomit.
Pace wise it dragged a bit but it made sense, I already knew the twist with Voldemort sadly so it could have been that, nevertheless. The drag was minor and didn't affect my experience all that much.
Since it's not online anymore I cannot give kudos nor bookmark it, while I am considering binding it I'm unsure, whatever the case, I'm saving it to the hard drive for sure.
This system consists of two main parameters: how well written it is, and my personal enjoyment. These are assessed independently, later summed and divided by two to find the true ranking of the fic.
For example, a fic with high personal enjoyment but low writing skills will average to a medium rank.
Additionally, whether I'd Bookmark it, Bind It, Save to Harddrive or give it Kudos will also be added.
Leather
Lowest tier, equivalent to one star. I honestly don't expect to give this to anyone.
Writing Skills: Poor
Personal Enjoyment: None - Very Low
Copper
Second lowest, two stars, this is when a fic is subpart but nevertheless I can see good in it, be it potential or other good ideas that could have been better developed/handled in one way or another.
Writing Skills: Poor - Middle
Personal Enjoyment: Low - Middle
Iron
Most fanfic will likely fall here, the third tier is for your run of the mill fic. It's not bad but it's not great, has some issues, but has good ideas that are handled correctly.
Writing Skills: Middle - Good
Personal Enjoyment: Middle - Well Liked
Gold
Okay, this is good, better than expected even. Equivalent of four stars, most famously good fanfics will fall here. At this point I might save it on my hard drive.
Writing Skills: Good - Great
Personal Enjoyment: Well Liked - Love It
Diamond
Very few fanfic will be here as this is the highest tier within parameters, this is fanfic I will likely bind or otherwise save it in case it gets deleted.
Writing Skills: Great - Potential
Personal Enjoyment: Love It - Considering Binding
Netherite
Outside of parameters, I don't expect to give this to anyone, this is a "I wish this wasn't tied to any fandom so I could buy it and give the author money, that said please don't file away the barcode, that's the devil talking/j Write your own work, please."
