             THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN MONSTER    &    intelligent  monsters  was  not  one  humans  so  easily  made .    bruxa  were  no  more  deserving  of  life  than  nekkers ,    a  harmless  lubberkin  no  less  dangerous  than  a  harpy .    of  course ,    to  witchers ,    so  easily  labeled  intelligent  monsters  themselves ,   this  distinction  was  more  often  made .

         which  is  why  eskel  had  accepted  the  contract  to  find  one  such  bruxa ,    yet  never  intended  on  killing  her .    merely  looking  like  he  had .   rosalie  was  among  the  more  intelligent  bruxae  he’d  met ,    &    easily  ranked  among  some  of  the  bravest  people  he  knew .    anything  he  could  do  to  help  make  her  life  easier ,    he  would .

My Opinion on;

Character in general: Eskel is my favorite of the wolf witcher boys. canonically just as strong as geralt but not a douche, more reasons to love him. and his goat pet lil bleater? amazing. aside from dandy boy easily my favorite in all of witcher.How they play them: oh my GOD i am so happy to have your eskel to write with triss might be happier than i am tbh she loves your eskel. I was a very sad triss rper before you made an eskel, and your eskel is just chefs kiss amazing. his tragic backstory you wrote him? better than the diedre mess. I love how you’ve fleshed him out and given his narrative a fresh new look with your hc’s, I hear his voice whenever I read over your posts. I’ve got notifs on for whenever you post on him or on your iris bc all your writing is amazing and I love reading it over. 

The Mun:  a complete and total darling. I love our talks OOC and our random plotting that happens during them i may or may not be working on a drabble based on one our interactions, whether its what if x thing happened or introducing me to the hot new meme like the shaggy ones a lil while back now. it takes me a while to warm up to people and be comfortable reaching out to talk to them but tea? I love talking with you and writing with you. I was honestly shook when you made the amazing theme for my triss that you did, I gotta send you something I’ve sewn at some point buddy just gimme your measurements and I’ll whip you up something.

Overall Opinion: I honestly love writing with your take on Eskel, no other could ever take your place with me buddy no matter how pretty their stuff is yours is amazing quality and its just…so good man. My Opinion on;

Character in general: HAVE CRIED REAL TEARS OVER HER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS….. she has been through SO MUCH and just deserves to rest……. ciri is a source??? more like THE SOURCE OF ALL MY JOY…… ok i need to stop but i’m currently in the process of reading the books (im at the time of contempt) and im big love ciri?? she’s a princess and a sorceress and a witcheress all in one and is just overall a very good strong heroine and it is my one wish in this life that sapkowski would stop being creepy as fuck in how other characters in the book describe/ obsess over her body

How they play them: i really like zelda’s ciri!! a lot of people really seem to boil down ciri into just one aspect or thing, but you don’t do that at all. or if people do see her as a cool badass hero, they strip away her femininity to the point where she just feels like a miniature geralt. but zelda is able to focus strongly on the fact that ciri’s girlhood and ciri’s heroicness are not mutually exclusive and, moreover, has fully fleshed out ciri’s personalities to the extent where they feel inseperable from each other!! can’t say enough good things tbh

The Mun: we haven’t ever interacted ooc but!!!!!!! u seem very cool and id love to chat w/ u sometime!!!!!!!

Character in general: okay NGL i kinda hated triss at first :0 when i made this blog i hadn’t read the books & all i knew was the fanon version of triss which is Not Good!! but then i interacted with a certain tumblr user (spoiler it’s ofmaribcr) and was like wait……. i think she’s actually a good character… then i read the book and saw in like the second chapter where she’s being a good role model and big sister to ciri and eskel was flirting with her and then i made the decision to replay the entire witcher 3 campaign just to romance triss

How they play them: LITERALLY REPLAYED TW3 AND THE DLCS JUST FOR SOME CUTSCENES WITH TRISS ENTIRELY BECAUSE OF HER PORTRAYAL…….. but like on the real there is this tendency in the witcher community to either a) write off triss entirely, or b) vilify her as a manipulative sex-obsessed/ geralt-obsessed weak wannabee sorceress, and khat does neither of those things. she’s truly given triss very real goals and emotions and motivations and feelings, and doesn’t ever boil her down to just her relationships with men. she lets triss be an intelligent, talented sorceress (which she canonically is), and also doesn’t obsess over the whole triss vs yen debate. literally can’t say enough good things about her portrayal.

The Mun: khat is amazing!! i am but a fledgling adult, and she gives crazy good advice!! plus she’s extremely creative and intuitive in terms of fleshing out characters, and a very talented writer!! also INCREDIBLY stylish!!!!!

Slender fingers reach to cup his cheek, stroking over the scarred skin with a gentle tenderness. The sorceress is unbothered by his scars, gazing up at him with open love and adoration. She wants something from him but she's acting coy again, glancing briefly to his lips before meeting his gaze once more.

             where  once  a  source  of  deep-seated  loathing ,    eskel  welcomes  the  way  her  palm  ghosts  over  his  scar  tissue ,    over  almost  numb  but  not  quite  skin .    he  finds  himself  smiling  in  that  natural,   goofy  way  where  he  forgets  that  he’s  supposed  to  be  a  soulless  witcher.    &  he  loves  that  playfulness ,    her  obvious  look  to  his  lips ,    the  way  she’s  acting  less  like  a  sorceress    &    more  like  some  carefree  apprentice .    though  really ,    eskel  just  loves  her .

              wordlessly ,    he  leans  down  to  kiss  her ,    running  his  fingers  into  her  hair  as  he  holds  her .    there’s  nothing  he  could  ever  possibly  say  to  adequately  explain  how  he  feels .   completely  entranced ,    memorized  by  her ,    still  hopelessly  giddy  with  every  first  they  experience  together .

                    Kaer Morhen—it was somehow smaller than he’d thought it would be. Growing up at Baeg Col, which was named ‘little’ specifically because of its contrasting size to Kaer Morhen, Will had always assumed the wolf school would be larger than life. He’d expected towers that touched the sky, massive walls that he’d have to crane his neck to see the top of–Deodan had told him stories, that he now realized were only grand tales, of huge spikes and monsters on chains that would ward off any unwanted visitors. Perhaps, he silently reasoned, maybe they did have chained monsters and I’m, hopefully, not an unwanted visitor.  

Finding it had been difficult, but not impossible for a witcher who knew what to look for. Winter had came two weeks early and surprised everyone. Will had been too far from Baeg Col and too far north to flee south, so he’d intended on holing up in some little town for the winter. His fingers prodded at the gash on his leg—beneath the blood soaked bandages there was exposed flesh, torn so far apart he’d been able to see bone, and so badly bleeding that he left a trail of black in the snow. The early winter had agitated a group of shrieker’s, which had been driven from their nests an onto the main roads–directly in to his path. He managed to slay one, but its mate and another forced him to cut his losses before they took his life. He, thankfully, knew that the wolf school was nearby and he knew that Deodar had been allowed to winter there several years back. He could only hope they’d be as receptive to him now.

His horse wobbled, exhausted, beneath him as the came up to the gate. It threw its head back and stamped its feet at the guards, silently declaring that they weren’t moving. Will quite literally slid from the saddle and was forced to grip his horse to keep himself from continuing the fall directly to the ground. For a moment, the world spun so violently that he couldn’t see clearly. “I—” The pain of attempting to stand winded him. “William— Witcher of Baeg Col… I just…” He cleared his throat, looking at the guards. “I need help.”

            eskel was quick to reach towards william, helping him to keep balanced on the saddle. bleeding was one thing. the fact that he was bleeding in the snow & ice was another thing entirely. if it were to freeze to his skin, form ice against already weakened flesh, eskel isn’t sure they have enough booze around to handle either the amputation or the sight of it.

         ‘i’m eskel,’ he said, helping an introduction could help calm him. ‘don’t worry about talking. you’re safe here, we’ll help you.’ 

          with the help of those around him, the witchers standing guard at the kates of kaer morhen were able to carry the misplaced student of the cat inside. they set him down on a table that was certainly meant for dining, but would have to do as a makeshift cot for now. eskel nodded to his brothers who had helped carry the bleeding man inside, a token both of thanks and their dismissal. he was the one who would stay.

          he stared down at the gash-- shit.  this william, whoever he was, was losing far too much blood. he’d have to cauterize it. it’s with a sympathetic look and a mumble of hang tight that he cast the sign of igni, & pressed his palm to william’s leg. eskel hated the smell of charred flesh, and hated more the fact that he was the one responsible for causing this stranger even more pain. but he knew that his own refusal to do it would only cause the man to bleed out.

        ‘i’m sorry,’ he says, words quick and soft. he glances to a goblet still remaining on the table, sniffs it, and hands it over to william. ‘right now, i need you to drink some water. your blood is like a thick slush, the water will help thin it out, bring some warmth to your fingers & toes. when you’re finished, we can talk more about how you ended up here. ’
