Shun had definitely not seen that coming. He lowered his duel disk cautiously, eyeing the girl warily. 

“Why would you be looking for a banana?”

“The banana is very special and precious to me. I love it a lot and I need to find it!” Rin showed Shun a picture of her special precious banana. “Have you seen this guy? It’s imperative that I find him soon. He can get clueless sometimes and I’m afraid he might get hurt without me there with him.”

She was so concerned and worried. There were slight tears forming within her golden eyes.

Shun froze, staring at the boy with a face that was almost identical to Yuuto’s. This was no coincidence, he mused as he handed the photograph back, taking in the desperation in her eyes. He understood, he too had been panicking and desperate when Ruri was captured.

He sighed, knowing he was going to regret this. There was no way he could resist those eyes, even if the girl wasn’t his younger sister. 

“I’ll help you look for him, if you want.”

His eyes widened as he stared at the girl. She looked so much like Ruri, except her hair colour and clothes. 

Remembering the incident with Yuzu, he closed his eyes to calm himself down, gritting his teeth at the pain in his ribs. 

“I’m… fine…”

He stared suspiciously at her, and was about to protest, but a sharp bolt of pain caused him to stop mid-sentance as his knees buckled. 

“How… can I trust you?” his voice was ragged, barely masking an undertone of pain, “How do I know that you aren’t with Academia?”

Serena glanced over at her duel disk and sighed. May as well admit the truth and ask the important questions afterwords. It was probably the only way she could get him to talk.

“Well, I am. But I ran away. Been on the run since. I met Hiragi Yuzu, and we talked, she told me about the attack on the Xyz dimension and.. about your sister. I never knew she was captured by Academia until she told me.”

“You... ran away?” her words ignited a spark of hope in him. If she had managed to escape, Ruri would be able to as well... He opened his mouth to speak, but ended up doubling over in pain again as his ribs were aggravated.

"Bruh what the fudge! Lower the duel disk! I’m not here to kill you." Rin said as she held her hands out cautiously and backed away verrrrry slowly. "I’m not going to murder you or steal your soul or duel you or any of that jazz. I’m just a girl looking for a banana."
