I like rocks and painting things and sewing. 23 xe/they/that/it/he :) if you are a terf leave me the fuck alone please :) ask me nicely and I'll draw you a picture ^-^
continue to be flabbergasted by the genre of trans guys who will say “trans men are men!!!” until they’re blue in the face, but when it’s time to talk about male privilege and transmisogyny, suddenly they’re poor little AFABs with glass bones and paper skin.
No one is saying you don’t face transphobia. We’re saying you have privilege for being men within a patriarchy. why does that make you so angry and why do you feel the need to call me a dumbass nazi terf about it
Example of get more woke now (UK specific). The British government is still taking interest payments from the Carribbean that are from the debt that England demanded from them for releasing slaves. Nigel Farage (one of our more notorious racists playing politics) has specifically stated that if he gets into power that nations in the Carribbean will no longer be allowed visa access to the UK if they don't stop asking for reparations (dropping the slave release debt).
https://repaircampaign.org/
^this is an organisation that is calling for european colonial states that occupied the Carribbean for slavery to acknowledge and pay reparations for doing that.
it's just really apparent that people think it's okay to want pain but morally abhorrent to want to give it. sorry but the sadist gets to have fun too. it's actually pretty crucial to the process.
hey genuine question, what do you mean by forcefem not always being a kink? i try to give people the benefit of the doubt but i genuinely cannot come up with a way for forcefem to not be a kink that isn't implying some horrible things about trans women but i didn't want to like. accuse you of transmisogyny without knowing what you're talking about
I know you mean well, but you're asking a super loaded question during a very emotionally-charged moment. I know that you're not doing that intentionally, but some people will see it that way so. quick disclaimer for my audience:
I see that they're marked red on shinigami eyes, but I did a quick vibe check and I'm certain they're not here to be a problem. I'm asking you to recognize that they sent this in good faith. this is not someone here to harass me, they chose not to ask anonymously, let's all make sure we're responding to that good faith in kind.
I've been mulling this over since you sent it a couple days ago. it's tough to respond to, not in the least because you're asking me to prove a negative. that's very literally not possible to do, but what I can do is talk about the history of the term and explain how it can be appealing without having anything to do with sex.
just to level-set here, I have exactly 0 interest in forcefem as a kink. even aside from being grey ace, it just doesn't appeal to me.
presumably, you got here because of the screenshot of Britt posting on kiwifarms. in that post, she's describing sissification, not forcefem. forcefem was almost singlehandedly popularized by isff, take a look at google search trends to understand just how new the term's popularity is:
sissification is, generally speaking, a kink that revolves around emasculating men and making them more "girly". this is regarded as inherently degrading, which is obviously misogynistic. it's also about men. "sissies" are men.
forcefem is a modern reclamation of the idea predicated on regarding the process as empowering, as opposed to be being degrading. the "force" in forcefem is often completely tongue-in-cheek but, even when it's not, it's not force as in "force them to do something they don't want to do". girls who get forcefemmed are not men.
if your friend was depressed and not able to make food for themself, you could call the process of making them food and insisting that they try to eat "forcefeeding". that's obviously a bit of a misnomer, but if you joked about force feeding your friend, nobody would accuse you of doing anything wrong. it certainly wouldn't be about kink, right?
I spent a year talking to my friend about starting HRT before eventually just hand-delivering a vial of estrogen to her, letting her do my injection as practice, and talking her through doing her own. she needed to be pushed to take that first step because she was scared. she could have done it on her own, all I did was make it easier by being insistent. a few weeks ago, she celebrated her first year of transition. I'm so, so proud of how far she's come, it's been a joy to see.
that's forcefem. that's it.
now, this can be sexual, of course, but that's true for literally everything. there's a lot more that can be said about that, starting with the fact that pre-transition women often have to occupy the role of A Man during sex, but I think we've answered your question by now.
please do feel free to send another ask or even just DM me if you have more questions. I really, really appreciate you for taking the time to simply ask. that's not something I take for granted <3
I think it's strange that people online will say reading about certain topics means that you'd do it in real life and you're "normalising" it but they only seem to apply it to fetishes, kinks and sexual things. Like if you read about rape then you are essentially the same as a rapist but apparently reading about cannibalism, murder, gore, torture and serial killers (nonsexually) are perfectly fine, like why is the line drawn at sex. Why are stories about torture okay to read but as soon as it's torturing them in a sexual way then it's suddenly bad wrong illegal problematic don't ever read it.
