it's been like 20 years but i still can't believe the super complex plan to raise buffy from the dead did not include digging up her grave first. like they were all shocked that she came back to life in the coffin and had to dig herself out. what the fuck did willow think was gonna happen?? was osiris gonna raise her from the dead and teleport her up to the surface? i don't think there was anything about that in the spell. and entities being compelled to raise the dead are generally kinda pissed about it and aren't likely to toss you some extra shit you forgot to even ask for. like if all the motorcycle demon shit wasn't happening, how long would they have sat there wondering if it worked before somebody was like wait should we have brought a shovel?
