one of the most despicable parts of male supremacy is the strategic refusal to acknowledge female oppression. you can never address a problem it nobody admits it exists. there is no guilty party if we ignore the problem.

you will watch the news and see story after story of a woman being killed by a man but no one will call it femicide. you will hear statistic after statistic about women being raped/assaulted/trafficked by men but no one will call it misogyny. you hear songs and watch shows where men are degrading and abusing women but nobody blinks. there’s a “male loneliness epidemic” narrative but not a “female suffering crisis” narrative.

I’m sick of women criticising leg hair discussions by saying “it’s personal choice”.

If it were a true choice, men and women would equally shave and not shave their legs. And yet, its 99% of women who shave, and 99% of men who don’t.

I’m honestly sick of women complaining about beauty standards when they take no steps in ending them. If all adult women stopped shaving their legs, young girls and teens wouldn’t feel compelled to shave, and boom, the beauty standard of hairless legs for women no longer exists.

I consciously look out for hairy legs in the summer, and I haven’t seen any yet. I’m just screaming into the void at this point.

Fuck off with your need to insert and center yourself into every fuckinh discourse about women and girls. We as a society need to nourish our kids but not so a bunch of men acting out a fetish can feel less...clocky.
