a sickness has settled inside her body. genesis could not tell you how long it has been there — it's only recently that it has come to her attention, reared its ugly head and brought his entire world crashing down around her. but genesis is brave, invulnerable; a soldier of his class should not feel any significant pain, or sickness. that would only serve to make shinra look bad, and even worse: make genesis look weak. that just simply won't do. so if genesis happens to feel nausea twisting at his gut, well, he'll just chalk that up to that disgusting look on his companion's face: pity. oh sephiroth, she thinks to himself. you always did make me sick to my stomach.

"respectfully, my dear sephiroth," his words are tightly laced with venom and misdirected rage, spat out as fast as she can manage. "if i didn't want you to find me, you would never see me again." it's not as though she wasn't tempted to hide. the idea of ducking into some hidden corner and watching sephiroth hunt high and low, desperately trying to sniff him out like a bloodhound — it has a certain appeal. the poor girl has always had the misfortune of provoking genesis' sadistic side. he can't help but want to taunt her, deprive her, kick her whilst she's down. before, he would have considered it an exercise in humility: a reminder that shinra's favourite weapon was just as human as he is. that feels like a sick joke now. maybe she is just a monster. "how would that make you feel, if i was gone? would you cry for me?" genesis scoffs. "are you even capable of that?"

"but no matter, i came to you instead. i wanted you to see this." he knew he'd find her here: the vr room. the scene of the crime, the killing floor. sephiroth carried guilt like it was penance, of course she had come here to lay in it. it weighed her down, made her small and fragile. the room seemed to swallow her up, lost in shrapnel and wires and regret. what gives her the right to wear such a wounded expression, when he is the one broken? for once in his pathetic life, genesis felt a sense of power over her, and she intended to use it. "i wanted you to see exactly what you did to me." she has shed his coat, bare arms save for the thick bandage wrapped tightly around his shoulder. the smell of copper lingers in the air, and genesis wonders faintly if she has bled through the fabric. good. let her see. he hopes it fucking hurts.

if they saw her in here, speaking to sephiroth like this, they'd probably have him court - martialed. goddess knows they must be looking for a reason at this point. she certainly won't be allowed to continue, business as usual. living proof of shinra's failures must be dealt with. he knows she's living on borrowed time. and what better way to use that time than to twist the knife again?

he gets as close to the girl as she will allow him to, half - expecting her to flinch away. dragging her down to eye level, genesis stares straight through her. her voice, hoarse from hours of crying and shouting and praying, drops to something low and dark. "you have ruined me." he doesn't let sephiroth break eye contact, following her gaze whenever it threatens to stray. he wants her to feel it, like a knife in the back (or shoulder). "and for that, i will never, ever forgive you."

three facts.

i have an identical twin! if we're being really specific, i have what's known as a 'mirror twin', which is what happens when the egg splits slightly later in development - you end up with two babies with mirrored features! for example, i'm left - handed and fox is right - handed! they are also my best friend and oldest writing partner: we've been making up stories together for our whole lives. hi fox, if you're reading this :3

i work as an assistant in an optometry clinic, and while i haven't worked there for a particularly long time, i've built up quite a stockpile of knowledge about eyes and glasses that really isn't useful or relevant outside of work. but it's very interesting nonetheless! i <3 talking about glasses! (i have a tendency to get very fixated on my job, no matter what it is)

i have a lifelong special interest in broadcast media, particularly television. i don't know why, or where it came from, but i'm obsessed. when i was a little kid, one of my favourite things to do was flip through tv channels and look at their close-down screens, or watch a channel start up for the day. if i've ever had a particularly rough day, i'll spend my evening watching television error compilations, or footage of channels going off air for the last time. this interest extends into television advertising, and especially public information films / public safety announcements. for a long time, i wanted to go into media / advertising specifically so i could work on public information films.

how long ( months / years? ) : on tumblr? about a year! i tried several times, but i couldn't get a blog off the ground until i started my reno blog last year!

platforms i’ve used : this is going to age me horribly. my first experience of roleplaying was on the moshi monsters forums LMAO. then from 2012-2016 i roleplayed pretty much exclusively on quotev, which was practically hell on earth i'm not gonna lie. after leaving quotev, i really didn't know where to find roleplay partners, so for a long time it was just me and fox, either via email or a shared google doc. and now i'm here!

best experiences : this, right here, is the best roleplaying experience i've ever had. i'm so genuinely grateful to be here and be so well - received.

muse preferences.

female or male : mmmmm ... i'm actually not sure! i think more of my muses are men, but that's not because i prefer writing men. i think, at my core, i much prefer writing nonbinary characters, possibly just because i feel i have a better understanding of them. i don't write enough women - i should fix that.

fluff, angst, or smut : i loveeeee angst i love writing angst i love reading angst i love plotting angst. what is the point in writing if it's not going to make you feel something! at least that's how i look at it, a lot of the time. obviously that doesn't always apply - but it will probably always be my favourite thing to write. i have legitimately never written smut in my life. okay, maybe once. but i've never roleplayed smut, and i think i'd be very anxious about it if i were to try. but never say never.

plots or memes : most of my interactions tend to start from memes! i find it a lot easier slash less intimidating to start that way - plotting feels far too narrow sometimes, like i immediately have to figure out how i want these characters to exist around each other. i like to use memes to sort of test the water, work out how they would interact, talk to each other. and i'm happy to plot from there.

long or short replies : longgggggg. i'm not good at keeping things concise! sorry.

best time to write : i usually write in the evening! before i changed jobs, i was doing all of my writing between 11pm and 3am, and i really enjoyed that sort of schedule. but alas, i work 9-5 now - so if i'm writing, it's usually after i've finished work for the day.

are you like your muse(s) : i am like... some of my muses. i'm not too much like genesis. i don't have her pride or theatricality or casual cruelty. i would say i'm most similar to angel devil, or kurapika, or akechi, out of all of my muses. but i put a piece of myself into all of them, somewhere.
