*Lily is asleep on Rhodey's couch, her boots and coat on the floor next to the couch*
He’d been at meetings all day so he couldn’t say that when he finally rolled in that he expected to find a kid asleep in his sofa. “I know my new sofa is great, but you have to give a man a heads up if you’re gonna break into his home and sleep on his couch.” He chuckled rolling through the living room into the kitchen, Scout leaving his side to go excitedly lick the sleeping intruder.
Lily whined slightly as she at first pushed Scout away from her face before slowly opening her eyes. She mumbled under her breath before wrapping her arms around Scout. "Hi uncle," Lily waved sleepily.
Rhodey smiled shaking his head as he turned on the electric kettle and rolled back into the living room. “Hey, Lily. Everything good?” He smiled as Scout just took Lily’s attention to mean she was also invited to lay on the couch, wiggling her fuzzy self up next to the sleepy girl.
Lily hummed in confirmation before hiding her face against the furry dog. "Long day at school..you're house was closer," She peered up and smiled at her uncle.
“I can understand that. School can be exhausting, as much as I loved my time at M.I.T. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me to.” Rhodey chuckles. “I’m sorry about Scout she thinks she owns the living room and anyone in it.”
"I'm good with cuddles from her," She admitted with a small laugh. "Do you have any food?" Lily slowly sat up as she asked.
“Of course... The pantry’s always full. I wouldn’t be a Rhodes if I kept an empty kitchen.” Rhodey chuckled rolling back into the kitchen as the kettle started to whistle. “There’s leftovers pizza from last night. I had too much time on my hands and zero patience so instead of working on one of my projects I made pizza.”
