It's been awhile, so time to plug again:

Hey! You should check out my webcomic Riverine!

It's about Brooke, a closeted trans girl who gets the power to control water after being in the right place at the wrong time. Now she has to navigate multiple identities: being out to her friends as her true self, staying closeted to her transphobic parents, and her vigilante efforts. And of course, the problems plaguing her city, from small-time criminals, to organized crime*, to billionaires.

And that doesn't even include the secret government faction looming in the shadows...

The comic is still fairly early on in its development: I'm expecting it to take 10-15 years to finish. But it's constantly updated and my art's slowly getting better and better as I figure things out.

rant about being a failure

I've failed to keep going with hrt like five times. I had to give up doing bottom surgery. Every time I think I'll start vocal training I think about crying because I am terrible at committing to things. Even the things I want more than anything. I am deeply, deeply bad at being trans and striving for my true self. I don't know how to get better about it. I try and fail. And I have been basically alone the whole damn time. The few times I've had other trans people in my life have been fleeting or contentious. I'm so bad at making friends.

I spend so much of my time making a thing about a trans girl that I want to be a positive, inspiring, normalising thing for people like me. I want all of us to get to a good place so so so much. I want the world for all of us.

But I'm so bad at getting there myself. It has been killing me for years. I don't know how to get better.

I just. I don't know.

what do you mean about scarlet hollow chapter 5 and the devs being weird if it's not too much trouble to explain? I haven't played for a long while since chapter 3 so I missed a lot perhaps but not a lot of people are talking about there being any issues.

The making Tabitha be transphobic thing is a big one. I still think it is bad, out of left field based on prior stuff, and I think pretty shitty to have a large queer fan base, sell merch of a character and prop them up as your mascot, and then pull that.

Them being weird about how people have reacted to some stuff from episode 5 (I blocked btg on here awhile ago but have seen a post of them telling a fan to shut up for saying something that. Really didn't warrant it at all imo)

Other ppl have definitely talked about it better than me but I am honestly just Done w the drama around that game and am not interested in giving it more of my attention if I can help it. There are better things more worth my time and energy.

The pencil sketch of this I did 2.5 years ago was a big, BIG part of me going "I have gotta make Riverine" because I have to get to these two meeting. I have to get there. Even if it is Endgame stuff I have to make the whole thing to get there.

Ofc I wanna make it all anyway and there are moments I am more excited about it in the preceding parts. But man. Brooke and [redacted] will go so hard
