acryllic on canvas 24” x 36”
2013
I started this piece as a study , but soon began to abstract after the initial application of paint. Acquired by Sam Blanchard.
Dug this out of the archives.

Memory of Days Past
Watercolor on paper (10"x 15")
Figure painting.
Two bowls stacked on one another
Continue Congruence 2013 acrylic on canvas
With this piece I hoped to arrive at a situation that by giving strokes enough definition and layers that an illusion of depth is created in the viewers mind. I feel that perceptions of depth can change drastically based on how we view elements of gradation, continuation, and overall saturation of the linear forms made by repeating strokes.
Release Robert H. Redfearn 2013 Acryllic on canvas
With this work in progress, I was hoping to explore how linear constructions of color and minor representation could leave more room for the viewer to let there mind wander. In doing so I’m trying to allow other people to experience the creative process, something I feel our culture is beginning to suppress by having opinions and ideas spoon feed to us in almost all aspects of our life. Secondly, I hope that by allowing a viewership to interpret any perceived meaning that this piece may invoke, opens room for debate and inquisition, creating a sense of community that harbors free thinking.
Display on the drillfield.
Explorer 2013 Acrylic on canvas 12”x12”
What I intended with this piece initially was an amalgamation of shapes and exploring layering qualities, but as the work progressed I decided to explore a narrative element. With this element I feel the piece explores how we interpret visual structure and even our perception of how environments can arise.
Release (four hours)
Self-portrait. Work in progress. Trying to convey a humorous gesture that will articulate my own interpretation of what I feel an artist should go about their work and how I see myself as an artist.
