Why, then, are their attempts to make their lives better to the detriment of women's lives? Why should we tolerate this, latest in a long line of incursions? I support trans people but never, not once, at the expense of women. Ask yourself why that offends you.

Somebody did the classic “this person is a terf” and I finally actually read thru what u were saying. I… have had similar feelings for years. I had pushed them down thinking I was a bad person but something always felt off about the way a lot of trans women would go about being a woman. It’s the stereotyping, it’s the infantilisation, it’s the deep, Deep misunderstanding of what it actually means to be a woman.

As a gnc woman myself, I questioned for years whether or not I was in “the right body”. I am. I was not uncomfortable with my body, I was uncomfortable with how others saw me, what others expected of me because of my sex’s characteristics.

And for me, a lot of what trans women are doing is living out those exact same stereotypes of what they think a woman should be (as dictated by men) that deeply harmed me and caused me great body dysmorphia and acting like they’re “such an empowered woman” for it.

They want cosmetic surgeries, face feminization, boob jobs etc funded publicly because they don’t feel “woman” enough. I’m sure most of the women with non traditionally feminine features feel wonderful watching that.

It’s not a set of behaviours to emulate, it’s not a checklist, it’s not a choice to be a woman. Womanhood is not your fetish or show to perform.

And honestly? The fucking hate and vitriol I’ve seen coming from almost exclusively trans women directed at women and girls ? Not even just TERFs either?

I’m disgusted.

I know some people may say shit like “trans women are better than cis women” as a joke but it’s not fucking funny and I’m so so so so tired of seeing it.
