I want to write instead of being on social media talking about my writing, but nowadays if I do not post on social media, no one would know about my writing... If only days could 48 hours long, then maybe I would be able to do it all :D

â¨âď¸ Wishing you all a Magical Holiday Season! âď¸â¨
Whether you're spending this time with loved ones, cozying up with a good book, or creating your own stories, may it be filled with love and light. đ
Thank you for being part of my journey this yearâyour support means the world to me. đ
Stay inspired, stay creative, and have a wonderful holiday season!đ
How do you imagine characters when you read? Do they look like someone you know or they are a vague idea that has no face?
Even when authors are hyper specific when describing a character, every reader imagines them differently. Isnât that fascinating? Itâs one of the beauties of reading. Readers are creators, too. They fill the blank space between the lines with their own imagination.
If Simon describes Romy to you, he will tell you she is the most charming girls he has ever met. But if she describes herself, she will tell you she is rather plain. Who of the two is the unreliable narrator? Or aren't they both blinded by their personal perception of the world?
I canât wait for you to meet those characters on the pages of my upcoming novellaâŚ
I am going to reveal its name soon. So keep an eye on my future posts :)
Meet Simon: an experienced traveller who loves exploring historical sights, yet hates social media with burning passion. Ask him about ancient ruins, and heâll talk your ear off, but if you get too curious about his past heâll change the subject.
Heâs quick to help, but donât mistake his kindness for commitmentâSimonâs never one to linger. Except, that is, for that one girl he keeps running into. That one girl that might just make him rethink his journey... đ
So writing is like .... 30% daydreaming + 30% research + 30% frustration + 10% actual writing :D

Happy Writing! - Rin T.
New post!
I think one of the weirdest side effects of being a writer is that while I'm reading, I'll just start subconsciously editing the book. Like, if a sentence sounds odd or off to me, I'll fix it in my head and continue reading as if that were how it was written.
Does anybody else do this?
@sapphic-and-stupid The most ethical way to do this
I do that for the first few pages of every book, it's when I stop doing it that I know the book has hooked me enough.
( and yet, my brain always spots filter words like a damn computer I can't turn off :D )
Her home is the open road. Her best friend is her camera. Her mission? To take her viewers on thrilling #adventures around the world. đ Romy is a free-spirited, bright YouTuber who left her teaching career behind to pursue a life of travel. 𧳠âď¸ Sheâs living the dream. ⨠Or so it seems⌠Behind her smiling facade hides another girl: quiet, guarded, uncertain. Romy is haunted by an emptiness that no journey has managed to fill. Sheâs held captive by fears sheâs afraid to face, and by truths she can barely admit to herself⌠until she crosses paths with someone who challenge the life she thought she wanted. Romy is the main lead in an upcoming #romance novella that explores the struggle to find real connection in a fast-paced, modern world. Itâs a story about loneliness, identity, growth, and the search for belonging. But, above all, itâs a story about loveâthe kind that comforts, protects, challenges, and gives you the courage to face yourself and overcome your fears. đ More updates coming soon... :)
This is the first moodboard I made for my upcoming novella. What vibes does it give you?
Writing progress 1
It might be helpful if I make those tiny writing updates for myself.
What is the progress of the story? Well, I have the idea, the backstory, some dialogs and the basic skeleton of the story.
Now I need to write the first draft. An actual coherent text.
I had a very hard time focusing on it, but that dumb thing I wrote about the eggs actually helped me. So I drafted the first chapter.
It's a start! 18 more to go!
Is this a Writer's Block or just Pressure Building?
The more I try to write something "good" the less I can write anything at all. The pressure to write in order to reach some level of "good writing" blocks my brain.
I am sure many writers go throughout the same phase.
What can we do to get out of that block?
Write nonsense. Write how the character is frying eggs in the morning; write in a ridiculous font; write something silly that will make you laugh or roll your eyes; write a parody of your own work. Just write!
Stop taking yourself all that serious.
Embrace the embarrassing mess of your first draft.
It will get better afterwards. Just write the needed nonsense that will help you focus, that will make you feel the joy of writing, in stead of terror of not being good enough.
Thus, gradually, as Simon is frying eggs in the morning, he comes to think of that girl he likes. He spaces out as he remembers the sound of her voice sounds as she calls his name.
The eggs are burning, but Simon doesn't notice. He is going to get severely burnt. I need to go to help Simon, I need to go start writing.
I hope you get to do some writing today, too. Help your characters cook breakfast. That's a start. Write, just write, and then keep writing...

Being a tiny word in a world full of loud sentences...
Have you heard of Ria Rodoni?
You shouldn't have. I made her up.
Ria is my pen name. My new persona. The author of fantasy and contemporary romance who just posted her first official hello on social media.
Not that social media noticed. It is impossible to notice such a tiny hello, uttered admit the chaos of constant new content.
But Ria is okay with that. She knows it will take time before she finds the readers she is searching for. She has to be patient. And persistent. And a little more confident.
But confidence is neither Ria's strongpoint, nor mine.
I do not write because I am confident that I am good at it. I write because I must. I write because it feels natural. I write because my imaginations is a wild thing that needs a playground to be unpleased upon.
And I write for you. For the reader who need a story just like the one I have written. It might not be the perfect story, but it will be your story. And I will do my best so you can find it.
But before we find each other, there is a lot to do.
So much indeed, that it feels overwhelming.
On Instagram I will share moodboards and quotes on pretty backgrounds. I will make cover reveals, give-aways and all those other things I am expected to do.
But here, on tumblr, I will share my unfiltered thoughts. I will talk about the struggles, joys, accomplishments and failures in my journey of becoming an author. Besides my ramblings, I will also share writing tips, resources and advice.
If you are a creative person who is struggling with self-doubt, caffeine addiction and wordpress settings, then my blog is for you.
Wishing you a good night, a lovely day and a fine afternoon ^^
