Micovir -

Micovir is a member of the Prosoma colony's Innovators Guild. They are fairly social, and enjoy attending colony events. Their main drive for creation is boredom, as they find themself easily brought to restlessness. One of the few activities that grounds them is observing fish. They can often be found laying at the bottom of creeks and rivers, staring up as the world moves around them. Their grotto is heavily decorated with the etchings of fish they admire.

Their closest relationships are with that of Rasa and Lutim Greenbrook—two fellow members of the Innovators Guild. Micovir and Lutim made quick friends and at times become distractions to each other during project work, with Rasa acting as a mediator.

Lacmanet Tideway is a more recent relationship development, being introduced to them after Aquade Oarfoot joined the guild. The two bonded over their mutual interest in river ecosystems, though Lacmanet's interest is far more casual.

Micovir is often favoured for their plate colours, with green colouration being a recessive trait in eurypterans. Their name is in reference to the Green Flash optical phenomenon.

Biography

He grew up in a very abusive house hold, his father drank alot and his mother was miserable, even if she tried her best to be there for the kids, eventually she couldn’t keep up. He ended up being the parent to all of his younger siblings after a while. With his parents being staunch catholics, they didn’t believe in birth control leading to poverty, though his mother had squirrelled away money from her husband for the kids along with a hefty life insurance that would go straight to Kieran as soon as she were to pass, seeing as she knew at least, that he would never abandon his siblings.

After a while their father did murder their mother, and eventually went after the kids, even though Kieran held him off beating the crap out of his father in a panic. Afterwards, the elder siblings decided together that it would be best if they got as far away from their father as possible, moving to Scranton with the money from the life insurance. 

In the past few years all of the siblings have worked together to raise the youngest ones, even if parker doesn’t remember his mom or dad. They’re a very close knit family.

It’s not her first time. And if she plays her cards right, it’s far from her last.

The cigarette tastes more stale than it should, but tolerable. If the client doesn’t show up by the end of the next, she’s out of here.

“Eden?”

Showtime.

An older woman stands beside her. Human, late forties. Expensive coat and boots. High-end, but sensible.

“A-are you Eden?” the lady asks again.

“Yup.”

Just about half a dozen puffs left in her cigarette.

Despite her nervousness, the older woman doesn’t hesitate when she pulls a photo from her leather purse. Eden takes the photo with two gloved fingers.

The photo is a business headshot. Man, likely human, similar in age to the woman. Perhaps a few years older, if the photo wasn’t edited to take away a few of his laugh lines. Shame. Eden prefers a bit of age on her prey.

“He’s cheating?”

“I know he’s cheating,” the woman squeaks without missing a beat.

Eden quickly recognizes the dynamic. Hotshot businessman with a pampered wife, who’s only real problem is being too familiar, too high-end, too sensible.

“Then what do you need me for?” Eden asks.

“What I want to know is if he’s cheating on the company too.”

Ah. Therein lies the rub.

Money is all that matters in Medea, no matter how flowery anyone describes it.

“Got it,” Eden replies, pocketing the photo. “What’s his type?”

“Excuse me?”

“Women? Young?”

The poor woman nods, her face shatters with a creasing despair.

“Y-yes.” The woman stares into Eden’s bright amber eyes. “The pretty ones. Like you.”

For a quiet moment, the woman glazes over Eden’s glossy raven hair, her perfectly painted rust colored lipstick. There’s no contempt or even envy in her gaze. Only heartbreak.

The woman continues, barely a whisper. “He likes the ones who flatter him, and laugh at all his stupid little jokes.”

Eden, her face a perfect mask that reveals little to nothing, nods with understanding.

Two puffs left. Money first, compassion later.

“Deposit, then the rest upon completion,” Eden answers. “I’ll see you in three days.”

“That soon?”

“Have you heard I take longer?” Eden’s eyebrow lifts, wondering.

“No, not at all,” the woman answers, flustered as she hands over a sealed, thick envelope. The woman feels, for the first time in months, relief. As Eden takes it, she can immediately tell that the money inside is crisp and most importantly, genuine.

Brand new bills, huh? Classy lady. Too bad.

Eden’s heart swells the moment she slips the envelope of money into her pocket. She pulls out a brand new cigarette.

“Where’d you get your boots?”

“Excuse me?” the woman blinks, feeling thrown off. “Oh these… The shop on Elm Street and Park, I think.”

Nodding, Eden steps closer to the woman, brushes a lock of the woman’s hair behind her ear. Warmth blooms on the woman’s cheeks from the touch of Eden’s fingertips. Eden is shorter than her, and yet the woman somehow feels much smaller in her presence.

“You’ve got great taste. Not in husbands though,” Eden says bluntly, shrugging and puffing her cigarette. “That sucks.”

Before the poor woman can respond, Eden begins to walk away, brushing her own long hair off her shoulder. “I’ll call you.”

The woman is baffled, still absentmindedly nodding as Eden rounds the corner of the street. She feels her cheek, the ghost of Eden’s leathered touch still lingering. The only question left on her lips is how Eden lit her cigarette without ever pulling out a lighter.
