suspected timeline of events, tell me if i missed anything
two years ago, 2017: jared starts up several tumblrs for receiving and posting nudes, whether they be from his fans or from himself. two sixteen year olds eventually end up sending lewd pictures of themselves, making it VERY clear they are sixteen. jared tells them that it’s alright, and even sends some of his own back to them. jared starts up a snapchat for the same purpose. he lied to the fans sending in nudes, saying that he and his wife were in an open relationship and she was happy to let his actions proceed. some fans didn’t even know he had a wife.
2017/2019, unknown date: the two fans feel disgusted by jared’s actions, and try to come to people jared knows with a document of evidence and proof of the fact that he manipulated and sexually abused them. most of them believe them, except for holly, who never replies before sending jared their contact information.
september 19th, 2018: ross announces that he’s divorcing holly, and that she’s moving back to her hometown of seattle, also where jared lives.
october, 2018: the affair between holly and jared begins.
october 2018-presumably still going on to this day: holly and jared begin setting up times to meet eachother and canoodle jared’s noodle. during this time, heidi is emotionally abused, gaslit, and isolated from jared’s friend group.
april 4, 2019: normalboots receives an unsolicited email on their business account with proof of jared’s actions towards the fans. they alert jared and their legal team about the email- no other employees are told about this. before may 9th, normalboots had already been working already to terminate their affiliation with jared, which was a mutual decision.
late april, 2019: jared asks the game grumps to delete all videos featuring him, saying he’s “rethinking his online presence.” the game grumps oblige, and private the videos.
unknown date, presumably late april, 2019: heidi finds jared’s old phone, and all the proof that he and holly had been having an affair, along with all the nude photos he had been asking for from fans. i’m guessing she came to jared with the evidence, and he began filing for divorce.
may 9th, 2019: jared blocks heidi on twitter, and announces publicly that he and heidi are getting a divorce. he subtly implies that heidi is not to be trusted in the statement. holly replies, expressing her sympathies and that she’s “here for jared if he needs her.” heidi then makes a post of her own, exposing him as a liar and a cheater, and holly as a homewrecker. the two previously sixteen year old fans feel safe enough to come out about their stories of jared’s sexual abuse. a day later, one of them deactivates on twitter. jared is faced with immediate backlash from his fans, dipping below one million subscribers on youtube and being demodded from his own subreddit. heidi moves out with her cat, aries. holly privates her twitter, and disables comments on all of her youtube videos. ross states on his twitter that he wants nothing to do with this. peanutbuttergamer has been led to believe, during this whole thing, that jared was the victim and heidi was lying, and tries to come to his friend’s aid with good intentions. once others inform him of the truth, and he presumably does some digging of his own, he makes a public apology. normalboots releases a statement about the events of april 9th onwards, and makes it clear they do not condone jared’s actions.
may 10th, 2019: the completionist (jirard) and did you know gaming (shane) both make it clear they condemn jared’s actions, and do not support him, before making donations to charities that work to support abuse victims, end abuse, and help people with mental illnesses.
