On November 7, 2024, Denmark used a racist, culturally biased "parenting competency" test to remove a 2 hour old baby, Zammi, from her loving indigenous Greenlandic Inuit mother, Keira, because her native language, which uses minute facial expressions to communicate, will not be able to "[prepare] the child for the social expectations and codes that are necessary to navigate in Danish society." This test had been recommended not to be used at the federal level before this happened but certain municipalities, including the one this happened in, chose to continue to use it regardless. Not only is this blatantly racist but also violates multiple declarations and conventions that Denmark has signed that protect the rights of indigenous people.
Please sign this petition to help Keira to get her baby back.
Can you spare a minute to help this campaign?
Hey, it's really important for Keira to get 50,000 signatures on this petition before her court date in early April 2025. Please sign if you haven't already to help a mother and a people stand up to colonialism and for indigenous rights.

There are so many queer coded characters in Fruits Basket that I’m convinced Natsuki Takaya wanted it to be a gay manga but got too scared
[ID: a page from Fruits Basket. In the first panel, Akito has a completely joyless smile and tears falling down her cheeks as she says, "Is that so wrong? That was my common sense...!" In the second panel, Kureno has dark eyes and a slight frown as he listen. The third panel is a close up of Akito's wide, teary eye as she continues, "No one... ever taught me!" The largest panel shows Akito and Kureno standing on a porch as it rains outside, Akito with her fists clenched and shouting, " No one ever gave me any other way to live! How do they expect me to know something I don't know? How am I supposed to understand?! If what's obvious to them and obvious to you is 'common sense'... Why wouldn't you tell me?!" End ID.]
I don't read Akito as autistic, just brought up in a cult, but my autistic ass is really feeling this anger of people being mad at you for not magically knowing "common sense" that nobody's actually ever taught you. Akito has been extremely secluded in an extremely toxic environment for a long time, and tbh she has the right to be angry that she's never had the opportunity to live any other way (though... not the right to stab people about it). Akito is herself a really toxic person, but this is one of the first points that she really acknowledges that something is wrong with her, overwhelmingly wrong, and she doesn't know what to do about it. Too many people don't even get that far.
