Didn't you miss me?!
Awh. You should always take a break once in a while, Doctor! We all need one! :D Maybe Iāll take you on one one day!
That's unheard of.. me taking a break! Ha ha ha.Ā
Anyway, how are you, Adelaide? Get anything special at the Caribbean?Ā
Had the oddest experience the other day.
No, no. Just.. odd. It was a remote control car. It was just sitting on the counter of the bar. I asked where it came from, but none of the customers owned up to it.
I might just sell it if no one comes to claim it in a few days..
ThatĀ isĀ odd.. Maybe someone drunkly left it there and forgot they had it to begin with. Who knows.
Well, I'll take it off your hands for you. I'm sure one of my patient's has a child that would enjoy it. And if not, then.. well.. I guess I could be easily amused by it whenever I'm not doing anything in the Estate. It can get a tad boring from time to time. I'm sure you understand and are reserving judgement on a man that just said he'd play with a remote control car.Ā
Had the oddest experience the other day.
You are truly a good man, Doc. And Iāve been good. Keeping busy at the bar trying to beat away the creeper peepers with a stick. I did get the weirdest present from someone yesterday, though.
Oh, you're too kind. I'm just doing what I can. A present? Not from a creeper peeper, I hope. That'd be extremely unpleasant... I get the shivers just thinking about it. Nothing horrible, is it?
I donāt know much ābout bones, doc, but I know I find this āinterestingly shaped boneā very attractive. Excuse me, too much information?
Well, not really. Iāve met Jenny, Elise and you. (Is it okay if I call you by your first name?) How many people are currently in the house?
Collar bones are definitely an attractive feature. I have to agree with you there, Jack.Ā
Of course, call me Richard. No need to be formal here. But it's just as well, people like to refer to me as the Doctor. I'm kind of used to it.Ā Well, there's James, Lucas, and Anna. There's more people coming, too. And of course the townspeople.. you'll be well acquainted with them in no time.Ā
How can one break the clavicle? Strange indeed.
It actually isn't as uncommon as everyone thinks. It's still forming throughout the teenage years, so children are more prone to the fracture more than others. It's an interestingly shaped bone, so the middle of it is quite fragile and a nice great fall to the shoulder or upper body can usually do you in.
So, how are you liking the estate so far? I see you've met some of our housemates.Ā
The clavicle, or collar bone, is unique in many ways. It is the only horizontal long bone, and it is the last bone in your body to completely form; it takes a full 25 years.Ā
I had a patient last year who fractured their clavicle. It wasn't pretty.Ā
Didn't you miss me?!
Too bad that long list of boys all had to be rejected. A dance versus a spa get away? I think we all know the answer to that one!
Of course. It sounds lovely. I hear my patients talk about how they need one all the time. Sadly I can't prescribe a day at the spa, to the disappointment of everyone... Including myself.Ā
Had the oddest experience the other day.
Have you? Oh, thatās good to hear. But really, we shouldĀ pay you. I donāt like the idea of owing something to people.
Next session you have with him, let me know and Iāll meet to reimburse you. āKay?Ā
Oh no, really, Blaire, it's fine. It's something I wanted to do for you. Don't worry about it.
How have you been, though? What's new?
Had the oddest experience the other day.
But Iām not complaining. At least I got something interesting out of it!
Blaire, how are you? I've been keeping in contact with your father, and it reminds me every day that I should come and catch up with you.
Hmm..
Where to start, what to do...Ā
Didn't you miss me?!
Well, Iām sure most of you did. If you didnāt then how would you explain the loads of messages I got from you guys?!
Last weekend was winter formal at my high school. I wasĀ going to go, I had a dress picked out and everything. It was gorgeous. Green slip and black lace on top? It was divine! Plus those emerald pumps!Ā Buuuutt, my mother surprised me with a trip to the Caribbean!! Fue hermosoooooo! We went tanning out on the beach, went to the spa!Ā Ah! Donāt deny it, I know you are all jealous. Maybe next time Iāll take you all! If youāre lucky enough ;)
Anyways, although I missed my school dance, Iām sure Iāll have plenty of opportunities to have that āhigh schoolā experience. But instead of going to a grimy dance to get felt all up, Iām ready for my close up! With this tanned skin and perfectly manicured nails, I canāt wait to strut it out tomorrow at school.
Your dress sounds like it would have been stunning. Green is my favorite color. Plus with that hair? You would have had high school boys falling all over you.Ā
The heart's apex points inferiorly toward the left hip. If you press your fingers between the fifth and sixth ribs just below the left nipple, you can easily feel the apical impulse.
Entertaining the idea of posting a medical fact per day or week, or something. Anyone interested? I'm not even sure I care. I find it interesting, at least.
ā¦
Iām sorry, mate. Sorry.Ā I donāt mean to laugh, but the soul whisperer bitā¦
Nahh, but really. Made me feel a bit betterāI was down without realizing it.Ā So thank you.Ā Now ābout you, mateāmaybe you heal more than just ⦠physique.Ā You see?
I know. I meant for it to lighten up my seriousness. But you're welcome anyway.Ā
Ohhh, no, no. I exclusively heal physique. And I'm okay with that. It's enough for me, y'know? The only thing I consider myself great at. It helps that it's a good profession in nearly every aspect.Ā
But, we should definitely continue this another time, I'm nearly asleep! I'm surprised you haven't passed out either.Ā
Thatās admirable.Ā Your job and all.Ā Iād imagine itās much more fulfilling than mine, so cheers to you.
Iāll be sure to remember that!Ā I hope I can offer you the sameāthough Iām not sure Iāve got much to offer someone with a medical doctorate.Ā It must be ⦠gratifying?Ā Being a doctor, yeah?
You shouldn't think that, James. You're famous for a reason. Someone is listening to your music right now, and maybe it's even saved their life. So I'm sure you've saved as many lives as I have, if not more.Ā
People like to listen to music more than medical advice, trust me. Music speaks to the soul. You're a soul whisperer.Ā
Contrary to what may be said ābout me, I am not a man of self-afflicted ailments.Ā But I believe youāthe sterile white walls are summat I āave not seen, and do not plan to.
Well, my door is just a few away, mate. Give a knock, and we can⦠talk. Hah.
You know, people say it like it's a curse. Sterile white walls. While the hospital can be a bit brutal, especially when the prognosis is not a happy one, I have found that the potential of good news very much outweighs the bad. And the bright white hallways are home to me.Ā
But this is my...our home now, so I better get used to the fancy crown molding and decorative chandeliers. Remember, if you need anything just holler and I'm sure I'll hear you from down the hall.Ā
